What antivirus do you use, if you use it?

What antivirus do you use? Or do you not have antivirus on your computer?

 

Just wondering because I've got a friend that has refused to put any sort of antivirus on his computer since he built it.

 

Edit: I suppose I should add that I'm currently using AVG on my computer that's going to be replaced with my new one today after I build it.

 

I'm sort of thinking about not using an antivirus, but I'll decide on that once I get there.

I mainly use MalwareBytes and common sense as well as backup my entire C: drive every 3 days so if I do every get a virus and can just roll back my system I find as long as you use common sense and don't click random crap then you will be pretty safe, even without an anti-virus.

I have a licens to Kaspersky, but it isn't installed.

If you have common sense and Windows Defender you can get a long wat, so I would say your friend is somewhat right.

I have a premium subscription to "Common Sense 2015" (AKA Windows Defender and not downloading illegal torrents)

Malwarebytes and windows security essentials, along with my own antivirus called common.sense.fools

I tried avg, but it thought itself was a virus and deleted itself. If only had the laptop a couple of days as well. This is after it found the MS preinstalled games (solitaire, minesweeper) to be malware and tried to remove them.

I mostly use Kaspersky, used it in a network environment and got to know it pretty good, and besides, if you get the 3 user version and split the cost it works out pretty cheap

Used AVG for 14 years, but when my granddad found out i built my rig, he gave me a free licence for Norton Internet Security. Doesnt slow down my PC as many have said in the past, maybe due to an updated AV program as well as powerful hardware.
