Have you checked what fps you're getting when running games or whatever you're using it for?

It was making sounds on almost all various framerates and loads.

I'll wait for 1080TI now.

Hey, you could have my 7950. As soon as it hits 3D clocks (it doesn't even have to be under load), it sounds like something hitting a fan blade, but it's not.

Mine had that feature too. On idle as long as the temperature was over 50C

If this new thing is that old will it be good enough for your needs without its age being an issue?

Shouldn't be. The Wacom digitizer is obviously a much older model with only 512 levels of pressure, but that's probably more than enough for what I need. Core 2 Duos are still perfectly useable little CPUs, I have a Lenovo T400 as a linux laptop and under an SSD it runs linux like greased lightning. On the tablet, I'm only really going to run Paint Tool SAI - and I've run SAI on a laptop with a 1200MHz Athlon 4 with no complaints from the machine. In fact its minimum spec is a 450MHz Pentium.

SAI will run on a potato.

I bought a bunch of Black Friday / Cyber Monday sale film assets! $160 spent, $700 total value. I'd say that's pretty good.

Thankfully my 7950 doesn't have idle whine (though it does make my PSU squeal when the cursor moves). If I wasn't so broke I'd buy a 15 dollar fan for my 650G1 (why tf did EVGA decide to use a 135mm fan on it...) and throw that in, because it didn't have this problem.

That's good it'll run what you need it to with any trouble.    What kinds of things do you like to draw with SAI?

As part of my week of reckless spending (I spent $160 out of the $180 in my bank account), my keyboard for my laptop just got here a few hours ago. I decided to get a backlit replacement for mine, since the old one was a bit worn out and hard to use in the dark. And I LOVE Dell's implementation for it. It has an off mode, ambient light sense mode, and just on. Pair that with how it turns off after 10 seconds, and comes right on if you press a key... I dig. And it kinda has that older MBP-like key "glow". Only problems are that the letters are slightly yellow (think it's just because it's new-old stock and the plastic yellowed over time) which i might be able to fix, and since it was meant for a different finish of the laptop the keys are slightly lighter than the rest of the body.

Manga characters... usually... sort of. Not very good at it, and more comfortable using pencil and paper to do it, but I draw much better in the long run on a computer. But I need it as close to pen and paper as I can - coordinating my hand on the desk with the cursor on the screen is a hassle. with this, I'll be able to use protractors, set squares, rulers, templates, the lot :3

In any case if you keep practicing I'm sure you'll get very good.

I impulse bought this on eBay just now after my offer for $15 USD was accepted.  ...Do you think it'll run on Windows 10?  We had this pirated when I was way younger, I'm not sure where it came from, but I imagine my dad brought it home from work.  I'd use it to Christmas up our Windows 3.1 machine for a few years in a row, with gaudy red and green schemes, midis and some bad games (Except for Christmas Kai, that was actually good!)

I already have The EMINEM Show standard edition, I bought it last time I went to that OP Shop.

If you are willing to pay the fuck ton of money for shipping, I am happy to send that over.
