8/10. Very good build for 1080p max detail gaming. Personally would add boot ssd, because i think any modern gaming pc can't go without one.

I give your system a solid 9/10. Not 10/10 simply because if we get a guy who has a 4970x and dual 295x2 crossfire we can't give him a 12, can we?

Mine is similar to yours but toned down a bit:

i7 2600

asus p8p67m

8gb kingston hyperx 1333mhz

asus r9 290 DCII

OCZ agility 3 120gb

random wd 1tb 7200rpm drive (I commissioned the pc to a friend who sells them and didn't bother asking him for a precise hdd)

antec 100 case

corsair rm850 psu

I plan on getting a second 290 eventually but don't count it when rating the rig, rate it as it is now.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

Thanks! I can't get an SSD because that would go over my limit and my budget is $830ish.

8/10 :)

I was gonna give you a 7.5 for being a 1080p set up rig, but man...Do I LOVE that PSU. xD

Also, don't get another 290 to go CrossFire. :/ Skip a generation, save a tad bit more money, and get the next top tier AMD GPU (or Nvidia, whatevs).

It will be the best bang for your buck, for sure! If you can avoid, always go single BEEFY gpu over dual good gpu's.

If you win the lottery or something, then you can go dual beefy gpu right out of the bat. ;D

8/10 for the solid overclock and the sweet memory in a clean case like that.  That SSD is a little small for a boot drive tho, isn't it? Either way its a solid build.  I'd definitely roll with it!

I especially love the 770 WF.

Here's mine:

I got that SSD for $30 on Newegg on special promo.

9/10 on your build, it's pretty sweet. But that PSU, its scary.

Yes, yes, I agree, the psu is scary.  I'm saving for a new one as fast as I can. I bought it back when I didn't know much about power supplies, and didn't do my research. The 680s are a recent acquisition, and the first time I loaded up 3DMark, the PSU started coil-whining like a banshee.

Nice deal on the SSD.  I don't think I've ever seen one that cheap.

Pretty nice 8/10. I'd say 9/10 if you add in an SSD.

9.5/10. Cool build, really. Not a fan of the look but that's personnal. And minus points for that 120GB SSD. I just hate small drives like that. They get filled without you installing anything on it. But that's a sweet setup you got there :)

Here's mine. It's not only for gaming. I use it a lot to backup all my stuff and stream to all of my devices. It's nearly silent, I love it :D

I'll get an SSD in there sometime. Probably when 500Gb or 1TB get more affordable (Getting there with some 500GB drive at 350$).

That'd be worth at least an 8.5, in my mind. How about mine?

  • CPU
    AMD A10 7850K Black Edition
  • Motherboard
    AsRock FM2A88X Extreme4+
  • RAM
    8 GB Kingston HyperX Beast @ 2133 MHz, CL9
  • GPU
    onboard
  • Case
Just an old case from a dead old pc I got for free, for now.
  • Storage
    2x Seagate Laptop SSHD 1TB
  • PSU
    Cooler Master, 500 watt, non-modular, non-sleeved. 80plus Bronze.
  • Display(s)
    Samsung SyncMaster 920N + Iiyama ProLite X2380HS
  • Cooling
Stock, for now, as Cooler Master Hyper 212 doesn't fit in temporary case.
  • Keyboard
Corsair Vengeance K70, black, Cherry MX Blue
  • Mouse
    MadCatz R.A.T. 5

I cannot be held responsible for any bad advice given.

I've no idea why the world is afraid of 3D-printed guns when clearly 3D-printed crossbows would be more practical for now.

My rig: The StealthRay. Plans for a newer, better version of its mufflers are already being made.

Not Bad, 6/10

CPU is a bit below what I consider the minimum for gaming, but the GPU is within

(my idea of minimum: Core 2 Quad, 4 GB of ram, 8800GT)
