I see this anime is incomplete but the story is interesting and curious, so I bought 11 volumes of manga

 

For information, all 13 episodes can be found in 3 volumes and half... (I checked because I received manga today)

 

I remember Great Teacher Onizuka, anime version with 43 episodes, all can be found in 13 volumes only for total of 26 volumes. Same for Claymore (26 episodes in 11 volumes for total of 27 volumes)
