Apparently Nvidia is going to show off high end Maxwell at their GTC keynote tomorrow. There is an even scheduled on Twitch for 9 AM PDT.

+ they'll talk about DX12, Open GL, GameWorks, they'll show off many tech demos. They are also going to make some new announcements.

i doubt you are gonna miss much, it will just be some bar charts and i get they are still using that silver cooler, its nice but they should change it.

I say 15-20% improvement, unless they go for power efficiency.

I say 15-20% improvement, unless they go for power efficiency. 

Will not even be close to that if you look at the past few years, its like they will try to save power as a fall back.

I'm making similar predictions. When I saw how little power the 750 and 750 Ti used I started wondering if they'd be going on a power saving path rather than as powerful as possible.

Good point. But if it does come out at this Keynote...how are they going to even manage it without seriously cutting down those two GPU's? And by that point would the performance be worth it?

Sell 780 when I can still get a decent amount for it, then buy 880 when it comes out? Or just keep my 780?

I could use some better performance, and I wouldn't mind spending ~$300 (plus whatever I can sell my 780 for) on an upgrade.. (I can live with a few weeks of light games)

 

If anyone thinks I should try to sell my 780 (Asus DCU2), what's a fair price?

i7 not perfectly stable at 4.4.. #firstworldproblems
