Options for Aquarium Chiller Cooling

I've been inspired by Linus' videon on chilling TR2 with an aquarium chiller:

I've been looking at several options for chillers like this one and they range from small and quiet to large and beefy like the one Linux grabbed for around $500-600, is there any kind of size requirement or reccommendation as to which would work best or be able to hold somewhat stable? Obviously there's been no testing for this sort of thing but I guess I'm curious as to what the limit of chiller size would need to be to be somewhat effective for cooling a loop with something like a moderately overclocked R9 3900X at above or at ambient temperature. Bigger ones are appealing solely for the sake of being able to cool off much more effectively and maintain much cooler temperatures but for now I'm more concerned with maintaining ambient temps as I would have to research long-term solutions for insulation and anti-moisture build-up measures

Check how much power your CPU is drawing, ensure the chiller can dissipate more than that.

See that's what I don't know about. Some coolers advertise 70W power draws (I think) like so:

but most are only dealing with water that isn't constantly being raised to super-ambient temperatures especially where higher end ryzen can easily surge past 200W, so actually calculating this metric to ensure cooling is difficult

I'm saving up for a stupid ass system so i saw this video and i was like "this looks like a stupid-ass amazing time" and i have the benefit of just dropping in a radiator if/when the aquarium chiller doesn't work out, or even using both if need be

Now that I think about it, would it actually provide any help to run in a loop like:

  • Chiller
  • CPU
  • Radiator (dissapate heat before it reaches chiller)
  • Chiller
  • Loop from there

I recall having one for my 486dx100 and recall it got rather toasty in my case, but that was some time ago (obviously) 

Didn't know if they had ever made any advancements since then

At 1400W cooling capacity yeah you should have no problem at all...

 

Now whether it makes any sense is another question.
