Mobile Fingerprint Scanner for Desktop?

hello!

     i have a couple of fingerprint scanners from old and damaged phones that are lying around in the house. is there any method possible i can attatch these fingerprint scanners to my desktop case and use it to unlock my pc? or is it a stupid idea 😛

Something like this might be better.

If you have any android phones that function enough to get it set up, there is an app. it works pretty well, I used it on an old S6 without a screen:

why no dark mode?

the phone i wanted to use is a bricked Nexus 5x, it cannot start or even go into recovery mode. i had intended to strip the phone apart and use only the fingerprint sensor from it, if thats even possible given the vast difference in the type of connectors used

I doubt you can use the actual sensor by itself, it's probably proprietary.
