Mobile Fingerprint Scanner for Desktop?

hello!

聽聽聽聽 i have a couple of fingerprint scanners from old and damaged phones that are lying around in the house. is there any method possible i can attatch these fingerprint scanners to my desktop case and use it to unlock my pc? or is it a stupid idea 馃槢

Something like this might be better.

Did you test boot it, before you built in into the case?

If you have any android phones that function enough to get it set up, there is an app. it works pretty well, I used it on an old S6 without a screen:

the phone i wanted to use is a bricked Nexus 5x, it cannot start or even go into recovery mode. i had intended to strip the phone apart and use only the fingerprint sensor from it, if thats even possible given the vast difference in the type of connectors used

I doubt you can use the actual sensor by itself, it's probably proprietary.
