What website/forum can I get help from people who are professionally capable of diagnosing stuttering?

To say I have a stuttering issue is an understatement. Check my post history, it has been going on for years.

 

I have never had a working PC. Period.

 

Nobody has been able to diagnose or fix my PC. Have basically descended into madness trying to fix stuttering over multiple builds and PC's.

 

Does anyone know of anyone professional that knows the in's and outs of stuttering assocated with games and videos?

The system stuttering is always an indication of either:

a) thermal throttle

or

b) missing or broken drivers for certain hardware (chipset, audio, video, etc)

 

The classical problem is pretty much users installing the OS without knowing what they are doing and they miss every single driver that an OEM system (eg Dell or HP) would have installed because the OS will not install it via windows update. OEM's provide multiple tools for updating systems, but users, often in the name of trying to make the pc faster, end up not installing the recommended drivers anyway.

 

If you've used Windows Update at least once, the PC should have all the drivers necessary for it to boot and be stable. That doesn't mean it won't install broken audio drivers (which happens a lot) and it won't install some hardware with the recommended OEM settings for the device. Such as using RAID on single drive NVMe systems (which is required on PCIe M2 drives on 2015 machines and later.)

 

If you have assembled a PC yourself from third-party parts (eg Asus, ASRock, MSI, Gigabyte, etc) then a lot of the optimization has to be done by yourself, an no single tool or person can tell you exactly how to go about it. PCIe devices are "plug and play", USB devices are "plug and play", but unfortunately that only extends to the zero-configuration (eg no jumpers or firmware to fiddle with) of the hardware. Manufacturer's drivers often use firmware blobs or OEM-specific modifications that can't always be replaced with generic drivers.

No forum will offer professional help. Thats not a thing. To get professional diagnostics, you pay for it. Personally I wouldn't use any online solution either as there's too big chance that they just offer help you could get for free by peers. If I would have such issues, I would take my PC to local shop. Let them troubleshoot and fix things. Sure, it will costs the €60/h basic fee. Plus if they need to do any switches to hardware. But at least I know i can take it back if they didn't fix things and get it actually repaired for free.
