I3-9100 vs I3-9100F What is the difference?

Guys, what is the big of a deal? Why the price different but performance looks the same?

CPU - AMD 5800X , Motherboard - ROG STRIX B550-E GAMING , Memory  - G.SKILL TridentZ Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3600 ,

GPU - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti MSI SUPRIM X 12G,  Case - 4000D AIRFLOW Tempered Glass Mid - Tower ATX Case - Black ,

Storage - Samsung 970 EvoPlus 500GB - Samsung 870 EVO 1TB + 6TB HDD,

PSU - Corsair HX1000 , Display -  ASUS TUF Gaming VG27A 165HZ + Dell 24 UltraSharp Monitor , Cooling - Noctua NH-D15 Black , 

Keyboard - Razer Stalker , Mouse - Logitec G502 Wireless , Operating System - Win 10 Pro ,

The difference between the 9100 and the 9100f is that the 9100f dosent have the intel integrated graphics.

One has some reasonable application on inexpensive builds.

 

The other is totally pointless.

its a big deal for adobe, but not a whole lot more. neither CPU is super interesting due to older Ryzen.

Why are you not going for AMD? I'm assuming it's a low/mid end gaming, or streaming build in which case Ryzen would be perfectly fine (1600 is really good for the price).

Ryzen 7 3700X / 16GB RAM / Optane SSD / GTX 1650 / Solus Linux

Why not a 3700X? Runs cooler, uses far less power, offers similar gaming performance in most cases and much better multi-threaded performance and you don't get constant performance downgrades due to security issues like spectre, meltdown, foreshadow and netcat

Why? The 3700X and 3800X are the same - the 3800X just has higher clockspeeds. It's literally the same CPU

The same way you handle an Intel CPU - gently put it in the socket. Put the cooler on and use it.
