Is there any way you can use multiple GPUs with a Corsair CX550M (2015)?

It'll run 24/7, no problem.  But the cable catching fire is a legit concern with those Molex to PCIe adapters.  Don't get a cheap one.

The store I'm buying from only has two adapters (both from Gembird; local company). They're 2,00€ for DUAL Molex to 8pin PCIe and 2,90€ for DUAL Molex to 6pin PCIe.

Here's the adapter in question:

It actually does look like a pretty good quality adapter, despite the price.

Because both of those connectors are on the same cable, just like the one one on mine (in the photo). Many GPU's now take dual 6 pin connectors. I dont think plugging one of the 6/8 pin into one GPU and the other in a second is a good idea.

I do know; but I don't really see a problem as the 470 should only draw 75-100W from the PCIe connector. It should be the same as just using a 1080 ti for example
