What is the least expensive psu that has 2 8pin eps connectors

SuperCookie78

I need a power supply for my nas/plex build but the mobo i am using needs 2 8-pin cpu eps connectors. But i would like not buying a 1000w psu just for the second eps connector. Do you guys know of any 80+ bronze or better psus that have 2 eps connectors?

It would be possible to get a CX450M, and to get a second EPS cable. You could contact Corsair customer support, or try to find it elsewhere.

Can you specify your system rather than give half broken explanations on the necessity? It makes advising a lot easier, also considering you're from the US just gives a budget since checking PCPP is very easy and straightforwards.

EPS is the one powering the CPU. Not PCIe.

I'd get a Cougar GX-F and order a second CPU Cable as the 8pin Connectors are IIRC used according to the EPS12V Specs, so should be rather easy to find...

Oh yeah, nice Board.

But Crap CPUs.

You should look in places for the X5600 series. They are 32nm processors wich means more power efficient and some might even be 6 cores.

And the lower ends are like 20-40€ or so.

Why Bronze?

Get a decent PSU.

Though you might need to get your hands on a second CPU Cable and use a modular PSU...

Why do you want to go cheap?
Why not go good??

And there might also be another solution: Split the Cable and use every half in each connector. That might (or not) work as well...

But getting a new cable with a EPS12V to EPS12V Cable shouldn't be too hard...

I think it's dumb,

$10 for a significantly lower quality PSU isn't a good idea

I got the cpus for $5 each and they work great. They have enough power of plex to transcode 4 1080p streams at once.

Does the board not post with a single EPS12V?

Ah, OK; in that case.

Just keep an eye on the 32nm versions and get one when you can because Power Consumption is dramatically lower.

It might even be possible that we're talking about 100W for both CPUs or so...

Depends on how you go at it and who you ask and where you can get it.

If you are lucky and asked the right one, nothing.

Good decision.

But wich Gold one?
The EVGA???

Or a different one?

I'd just get one of the mentioned, maybe a Corsair and Ask Corsair for a Cable.
