I see 4 boxes with trash written all over them. So, I go over to them and open them up and this is what is inside. The failed Microsoft fitness tracker branded as an Xbox product called the “Joule”. This was probably the precursor to the Microsoft Band. The GPS functionality never connects, and the clock starts at 4:00 whenever you power cycle the device but I did get it to pick up time once while being plugged into usb while connected to my desktop. The heart rate monitor seems to be working correctly. Very interesting to see a prototype that was most of the way complete getting thrown away. I just wonder if it could be finished somehow to at least get the gps working properly and have the clock hold a time? Hey Linus, ya want one?

@GabenJr Glad to see you enjoyed my find. I understand that it might not be enough for its own content piece, so it is no big deal if you pass. I have multiple boxes of them and have found at least 1 that doesn’t work so far so by "hey do you want one?" I really mean more like 4 with 2 functioning and 2 that don’t so they could be taken apart possibly.

This is ridiculously cool and I'm relieved they didn't end up in a landfill somewhere. I'm not sure if there's enough content that works to make a video on it... Found a Windows Central article on it that goes over everything they got it to do and there's not much to see. Still, this is a curio and a piece of gaming history I definitely want to see preserved... I'll see what @LinusTech thinks during our next content meeting.

Now i'm all for an open market, but when you try and force a product that legitimately sucks. It is slow, very unorganized, and is lacking organization. Steam is very well designed and they have figured out how to properly design and monetize the platform. Ubisoft doesn't want to shell out the 5% to steam so the decided to throw together a piece of junk that is uplay and EA isn't much better with origin and the whole battlefield in browser launch thing. When the community tells you it sucks, start to change the sucky part....

So I have been working on something similar gradually for the past 2 years now so I'll try and help out here. I have run 4 network cables thought my house and here are a couple things I did. I ran 1 to my down stairs bedroom, 1 to the living room down stairs as well for a console, 1 to an upstairs bedroom for a DVR for on demand movies, and the last one to a second upstairs bed room used as an office. My router has 4 out ports on the back so I was able to get away with my setup the way it was. I do want to run 1 more cable so I will need to get 1 more cable and a network switch. The switch, since you will probably need it anyway, you purchase should have a couple extra ports from the amount you need and from what i've researched the netgear lineup has lifetime warranties, just something to consider. The cables you use you can just get at best buy or home depot (home depot is better and cheaper where I live). Before you buy cables, figure out and measure how long you need, I did this and I'm running a 25ft and 3 50ft cables, and this will help you keep cost down and not have unnecessary excess. Hope my limited experience helped.

Another vote for the 750Ti here. Any of the reference designs would be what you want.

This one doesn't have a power connector, and looks like a good design and price:

Might I recommend the EVGA 750 ti SC version? No external connector, and it's pre-overlocked.

If you get a 750 ti make sure that it does not have a 6 pin connector.  Or make sure that your PSU has enough spare molex connecters to use a 6 pin adapter on.
