Generaly I am fairly uncaring about which thermal paste is used AS LONG AS IT IS A KNOWN/NAMED ONE.
I feel that a cheapo TIM, like this one, is worth what you paid for it.
Yes it will work, at least for a while, but I would replace it as soon as .

$50 a month at roughly six months between breakages that's $300, have to have very high end equipment to go to that sort of level just for repairs .

You will get a lot of customers who bug you to "clean" their PC every week or so .  I would hazard that it works for best buy as they have every salesperson hassling their customers to take out a warranty (same idea as your subscription service idea) and so they will have the clean every week types along with those who are never (never say never) going to get work done amongst their X thousand customers, unless you are doing the same sort of level of business as them and are prepared to push your service as hard as they push their warranties you WILL make a loss..

To be honest I don't care that much about the quality of the microphone (beyond it not distorting to the point of inaudability[it is amazing how quickly your ears come to recognise that sound as normal]), but sniffing, uhming and ahing and strong (almost indescipherable) accents will make me click off a video.

Not an electronics 'person' by any means but are you perhaps over thinking this and
    1 is just a cap
    2 is just an IC
3 (not realy sure what you mean). If its the copper coloured area with silver (solder) dots then I have no idea what it's called.

No clues on the board (values might tell you what the component is)?

You do realise a quadro's strength lies in areas other than gaming?

They are very low performance as GAMING cards but that is not what they are for, yes you can game on them (perhaps that is where the low performance compared to price comes from) but they are more for workstations than gaming.

soup got a reaction from skimmilk5 in Can you do this
Seems the two of us might be guilty of that.  It started with you saying the 'Quaddro had low performance to price', and me trying to say 'yep for gaming but...' .

Quaddro's do strike me as a ridiculous price, but I learned a long time ago that proper tools/equipment for proper/profesional work costs a LOT more than day to day punter stuff.

    Aside :-
Son is a mechanic and laughs at some of the  tools I have, he will spend a day's wages on a spanner he uses a lot whereas my (similar) one will be a fraction of the price.  But as I say to him I only use it four or five times a year not every day like you, I do not need it to be as durable as yours

Sure the Captain will be along soon to give you the full SP.

    All IMHO
Basically you could look at the Blue as good enough to use as a storage drive in a system which boots from an SSD, Black is slightly more high end but apart from it having a longer warranty there isn't (or rather wasn't; last time I looked into HDs was three years or so ago) a great deal of difference.
Generally; Red is for NAS, Purple surveillance systems , Green the slow Eco one, Blue normal HD duties, Black a high end version of Blue.

We could add caveats/exceptions/reasons etc for days but that wouldn't change the underlying idea.

The main takeaway is that it is not an aspect to be overly worried about.

    Edited to add aside:-
Priest says to racing driver "my son how can you get in that thing knowing it may well kill you"?
Racing driver says to priest "tell me father do you expect to die in your bed?
     Priest says "of course "
Racing driver says "then were do you get the courage to climb into it every night "

    You shouldn't worry about everything

soup got a reaction from ShadowCaptain in Why are 1 bit images black or white?
He could(ish), say a whole matrix of pixels, alteratively off and on gives a medium grey to the whole thing.  Now if two pixels were on one off (repeat) then a lighter grey to the whole panel.  I agree each individual pixel would be black or white but overall the effect would be of a one coloured panel.
This assumes the pixels are of such a size as to become indistinct from each other.

Yes they are targeting different audiences.  It still strikes me as trollish to point out that one audience would be better served by the channel which is aimed at a different audience.
    My viewpoint entirely.
Rather than going to the bother of posting "I don't like", just don't watch (generally the title lets you know roughly what the video is about and/or what level it's aimed at), or give a thumbs down in the video comments section,

Basically I watch all tech channels (LMG, Tek syndicate, Jayz, Awesome sauce, Paul's etc) but I realise not all of anyone's output will be entertaining.
The Tek seems to be very political, Barnucules seems very "woe is me", Jay tends to fixate on his weight loss/bike riding,  etc etc but I am not about to tell them they are doing it wrong rather I watch it all expecting some of it to be exactly what I want, some of it to mildly entertaining and some of it to be the worst dross known to mankind.  I am not subscribed to  Austin, Marcus Brownlee etc as they seem to mainly concentrate on phones or Apple products but even they produce some gems that demand to be watched .
So watch what appeals don't watch what doesn't. Companies have to be told if their target audience is unhappy and if criticizing make it as specific as possible and suggest how it should be 'fixed', a general "the videos now are not as good as they used to be" is not helpful.

No you don't.  "Everyone" (and me for what that's worth) states that you don't want to cheap out on PSU it is connected to "everything" and if it takes a dump may take all your really expensive bits with it .  Get a decent named PSU, that has decent reviews on the 'net.  EVGA seems to have a good rep but they are not exactly cheap.
