1 million dollars!

I would say that you could probably sell the Pentuim itself for more than the gold inside is worth.

I have an Anet A8 as my project printer and a i3 MK3 for when I want things to work.

I extrude my own filament and haven't saved a penny yet.

My PC:

Spoiler

CPU: Intel i7 8700k

Motherboard: MSI Z370-A Pro

RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V (2x8GB) DDR4-3200

GPU: GTX 1070 Founders Edition (OC'd)

Storage: 2x 2TB Seagate 5400RPM, 128GB ADATA SSD

Power Supply: EVGA Supernova 750w  B2

Cooling: Noctua NH-D15. 3 Intake Fans, 2 Outtake

Case: Fractal Design Define R6

You'd spend more money in extracting than you'd get back

Well the chip weighs 90g or 3.2oz....which means you'll probably get 20-30g?? I dunno because ive never checked

I'm assuming that's the Pentium Pro. It has been reported to have as much as one gram of gold.

If it's not the pro then you need to say the EXACT model. For example; this could be the Pentium MMX... Which has zero gold content or 0.12g, depending on whether or not it's the black fiber one.

Bottom-line; not enough to be worth anything. In fact, if you try to get every last gram, you'll spend more on the extraction process.

Turn it into a nose-ring and sell it to a hapless hipster instead.

0.2~0,3 rather than 20~30. I'd have thought,

NOPE. The highest gold-content chip is 1g.

That's the MMX. If it's the black fiber then it's nearly 0 grams of gold, if it's the non-black-fiber then it's .12g.

About 4 bucks, if memory serves.

Correct. Yours is either 0g of gold or .12g. So $4-$4.5 USD.

Probably get a LOT more for it selling it to a collector (when it has become a classic) to stare at rather than try to extract gold from it.

It has bent pins so RIP it bring a collector item.
