Jayz2cents already did a video showing this on YouTube.

HenrikTJ reacted to SupaKomputa in Trackpad for windows
I think you can use apple trackpad and install bootcamp driver for it.

HenrikTJ reacted to FloRolf in Dual fan Noctua NH-U12S?
Make sure to select a best answer so the topic marks as solved and is easily accessible to other people with the same question

HenrikTJ reacted to FloRolf in Dual fan Noctua NH-U12S?
Yes, it says on the product page that the cooler comes with two pairs of brackets.
-
HenrikTJ reacted to Velcade in Dual fan Noctua NH-U12S?
I found this company called Noctua, they seem pretty knowledgeable on the NH-U12S.

HenrikTJ reacted to NewMaxx in V-nand vs 3D nand... Is there a difference?
V-NAND is Samsung's implementation of 3D flash. It's architecturally built on TCAT which is a form of replacement gate (RG). Nobody else uses that, but Micron's new 176-layer flash will be RG. Other manufacturers use variations of BiCS (bit cost scaling), like WD/Kioxia and Hynix, which scales well with capacity and yields; this is charge trap flash (CTF). Intel/Micron use floating gate (FG) instead which takes up more area but is more resilient in general. This makes Intel's QLC the best around. However, again, Micron is moving to CTF. Samsung's flash for the record does tend to have the best endurance, performance is a different discussion as that is deeper in the architecture. Upcoming split-gate/cell flash will be FG and CTF, the former more likely as it works better with the cell shape.
There are dozens of 3D NAND implementations so V-NAND does not equal 3D NAND, it's just Samsung marketing as usual (like "3-bit MLC").

HenrikTJ reacted to Enderman in V-nand vs 3D nand... Is there a difference?
V means vertical, so it essentially means the same thing as 3D.
Just look at benchmarks to determine peformance.
-
HenrikTJ reacted to minibois in V-nand vs 3D nand... Is there a difference?
they refer to the same thing, NAND memory stacked vertically on top of each other.
if you want to know the difference between two different SSD's, please post the model nr.'s of both and the intended use for the SSD's.

I believe the czar said sooooooooooooooooooooooooooon, but I really cant remember what specifically and I think it is the deskmats.
Do a search, czar spoke and posted.

HenrikTJ reacted to Rooked in Which ssd for which m.2 slot?
You got your answer already. Put the one that you use the most (game-ssd if you plan to game on it a lot or w10-ssd if you're using it for chrome, video editing etc.)

HenrikTJ got a reaction from Letgomyleghoe in "M.2 slot wired directly to the pcie lanes of the cpu" What?
thank you very much!!!
-
HenrikTJ reacted to Electronics Wizardy in "M.2 slot wired directly to the pcie lanes of the cpu" What?
1. normally yea, but depends on the board. Am4 boards normally have one that is directly connected to the cpu, and the rest go to the chipset, 115x board go all to the chipset.
2. Normally less bandwidth sharing, but for most users, it won't make any difference.
3. Look in the manual, but its normally the top m.2 slot.
4. Its a bit faster, and runs at gen 3 speeds in your case, and won't share bandwidth with other devices.
-
HenrikTJ reacted to Letgomyleghoe in "M.2 slot wired directly to the pcie lanes of the cpu" What?
1. yes, some go through pcie lanes in the chipset which are much slower
2. speed
3. if its probably in your manual, i believe yours runs through the cpu
4. its allows the ssd to run at full speed

HenrikTJ reacted to Helpful Tech Witch in Nvidia 3000 series blower style cards?
early september stuff, but how about this?

-
HenrikTJ reacted to Fasauceome in Nvidia 3000 series blower style cards?
I have a hard time imagining that a 3090 blower is feasible (that said, never seen a triple slot blower, might look hilarious.) The 3080 might be feasible, but damn those cards suck down a lot of power, we will have to see if board partners think anything more than the 3070 is worth designing a blower for
-
HenrikTJ reacted to Applefreak in Nvidia 3000 series blower style cards?
Yes, just not for the mainstream market. Look for used ones from DELL & Co. Also workstation cards are usually blow style.

HenrikTJ reacted to emosun in Need help picking cpu, gpu and mb
Ok so your build would actually not be very old because from the sounds of it his actual requirements are "a low end cheap machine" rather than a machine that is simply old.
You can get used office machines for 100-300$ pretty easy and they'll be speccd around previous gen i3-i7's with 8gb of ram ect.....
But you actually do have to give us a budget as we aren't going to list the thousands of options that exist under 300$
-
HenrikTJ reacted to EpiCheeseTime in Need help picking cpu, gpu and mb
You would be better off going with newer stuff...If your friend really wants to play esports titles, its better to have more than not enough.
Note: when I say newer stuff, I mean like a ryzen 500/nvidia 10xx series and an intel 7-9 gen or AMD 2nd gen. Are we on the same page or are you thinking older?

you turned off the audio source. windows most of the time will pause what ever is accessing it. ive seen it with most videos, video players and winamp

HenrikTJ reacted to SupaKomputa in Thermal paste for GPU
Any one will do just fine. The difference is minuscule, maybe 1-3 degree tops.
-
HenrikTJ reacted to Praesi in Thermal paste for GPU
It doesnt realy matter what thermal paste you use.
Any decent one will do just fine.
-
HenrikTJ reacted to Cyracus in Thermal paste for GPU
Just make sure it's not electrically conductive

HenrikTJ reacted to minibois in Recommended PSU watts for this system?
A good 500w (or more) will suffice for this build.
There are loads of good options, depends on what is best available/priced locally.
The Be Quiet Pure Power 11, Corsair CX550 or TX550 or Seasonic GX would all be good options, among so many more.

HenrikTJ reacted to VeganJoy in PWM fan splitter confusion
you can control dc fans smoothly but they usually cant go below 50-60% speed. which isnt really an issue with good fans but with cheaper ones they may be a little loud at that speed. pwm is usually just a few bucks more, might as well get em
-
HenrikTJ reacted to Moonzy in PWM fan splitter confusion
also you can control 3 pin fan with fan curves as well, with DC control
the voltages arent locked to 5v and 12v, i believe it can vary in small steps between these two voltages
because i can control my 3 pin fans as smoothly as my 4 pin fans
