It's only going to improve the time it takes to load games. If you want to save money, get a cheaper SSD or an HDD.

As far as I know, it doesn't affect performance on the drive much if at all, regardless of where the partition is

chowbaaron got a reaction from BTGbullseye in Do I need to upgrade my graphics card?
It depends on what kind of money you want to spend and what your performance desires are. I played on absolute minimum settings (sometimes custom below-minimum) for several years before upgrading this weekend because I didn't want to spend the money to upgrade. Once my graphics card started crashing regularly I decided to upgrade. I'll probably keep my new system for many, many years, but that's my personal preference. A 1070 is still an amazing GPU; if you don't want to upgrade, don't.

I ran my AMD Radeon HD 7500 into the ground and literally just replaced it. Yes, a 1080Ti is more than fine.

chowbaaron reacted to givingtnt in is 500W enough for Ryzen 3600 + RX 5700XT? pcpartpicker link inside.
It should be enough, though I'd be careful about overclocking (keeping in mind that if you run both the cpu & gpu at full speed under overclock, you might run into some power struggles then)

The powersupply might be rated as 500w, but it doesn't mean it can sustain 500w continuously over long periods of time.
Be sure to test your overclocks well if you do go that route.

If it does what you want it to and you are satisfied with it then yes, it's still fine. This applies to pretty much everything.

And I've never had an issue with Barracudas. What did I do when I had this same question? I googled it. And the answer I found? Exactly what's being posted here.

chowbaaron got a reaction from Xiee in MX Red Keyboard w/ Media Keys Suggestion
I've enjoyed Logitech products in the past, and as I mentioned in my post, I enjoy the aesthetics of the keyboards I've looked at from them. I didn't have an opportunity to test them in stores however. Most of the reviews I hear about them are about how "mushy" the keys feel, although considering I'm coming from a rubber dome keyboard, I'm not sure I'll notice too much, especially if they're at a nice price point and will last a few years at least.

You could just google "WD Blue vs Seagate Barracuda" but in the end, the answer really comes down to: "they are both similar, get what's cheaper."

If you don't have the tools to cut, have a hardware store do it. You can get exactly what you want for the space you have. And it will be significantly cheaper

I believe this is what he's talking about, which is not exactly an incompatibility as he described:
