Silencix reacted to emosun in What video card to buy in this video card crisis?
there are no cheap videocards that will do that. the market is expected to return to normal in about 1.5 years.

Get the cheapest RX 570 you can get, it will be a big upgrade compared to what you have now and flip it once you can actually buy something decent, maybe next year if you are lucky.

Silencix reacted to ProjectBox153 in Sapphire Radeon Rx 550 good value for money?
The computer that the OP has doesn't have integrated graphics.

Silencix reacted to ProjectBox153 in Sapphire Radeon Rx 550 good value for money?
Again, it's not always crap. It can be very useful for certain older builds where it's more powerful the integrated graphics, but it still supports older operating systems. Plus, it's cheaper than the 1030. For a display adapter, why need more power?

You could get a MikroTik hEX:
https://www.mercadolibre.com.ar/router-mikrotik-routerboard-hex-rb750gr3-blancoturquesa-1-unidad/p/MLA7901943#searchVariation=MLA7901943&position=1&type=product&tracking_id=b4b01770-2f33-4be6-bba3-2e0d1f958090
It's rated for around 500-900Mbps of throughput if I remember right so depending on your speeds that might fit the bill nicely.

Silencix got a reaction from .Apex. in The R5 3600, the worst upgrade I did.
Thank you very much, the fps are now better.

Seems like your CPU is not boosting at all, it's stuck at Base Clock even at idle, have you messed with any settings in the BIOS? try resetting it and install the Chipset Drivers from AMD's website which should give you the Ryzen Power Plans that you should switch to.

Thank you very much. I already made the purchase.

Silencix reacted to zeusthemoose in Advice on CPU upgrade
Like others have said, not an upgrade. At best it will be equal but most of the time the 7700 will be very slightly ahead. But it doesn’t seem your budget could fit a 3100 and a motherboard anyways.
-
Silencix reacted to Haro in Advice on CPU upgrade
Nope.
Not a good upgrade. More of a side grad.
Wait for zen 3. Because unless you absolutely need an upgrade now, the 7700 will do the job.
-
Silencix reacted to Fasauceome in Advice on CPU upgrade
Same amount of cores, and threads, but a little less performance. You should keep the 7700 for now, new products should arrive soon, we will see how prices change.
-
Silencix reacted to zeusthemoose in Advice on CPU upgrade
It doesn’t not look like there is a cpu in your budget that would give you a good increase in performance or efficiency.
-
Silencix reacted to Skipple in Advice on CPU upgrade
There will always be better hardware then what you have.
But unless there is something about your current hardware that requires you to upgrade, anything you do will be superfluous.

I'm using an online translator, which doesn't literally translate what I write in Spanish. 😄

Why does the Council in the title mean.
Does it have anything to do with you saying this to your CPU:
(The Council will decide your fate)
-
Silencix reacted to Skipple in Advice on CPU upgrade
It's certainly not obsolete.
What are you not getting from the 7700 that makes you want to upgrade?
-
Silencix reacted to zeusthemoose in Advice on CPU upgrade
Are you happy with your performance? If so, doesn’t matter if there is newer stuff, don’t upgrade.
-
Silencix reacted to Haro in Advice on CPU upgrade
wait for zen 3 (Q3/Q4 of this year supposedly) and check what it has to offer.

Silencix reacted to minibois in Advice on CPU upgrade
What are you missing out on your PC currently (as in, what games don't play well or whatever)? What videocard do you have currently?
-
Silencix reacted to Windows7ge in How to make the Rb941-2nd-tc Hap Lite a Switch?
If Pfsense is being used as your primary router you need a computer with two Ethernet ports. One for the WAN, and one for the LAN. You can't use one Ethernet port and run it to a switch.

Silencix reacted to dizmo in Upgrade options for 6600K
You shouldn't be experiencing drops like that. My 7600k plays those titles perfectly fine.
Wait for the R5 4600.

Silencix reacted to DailyProcrastinator in Upgrade options for 6600K
Unless you can find a used i7 7700k for less than like $120ish then there is no logical upgrade on that platform. Upcoming 4th gen Ryzen would be my suggestion.
