AIB cards normally have better cooling than stock cards, get MSI afterburner and try it out.

You were expecting more of them that they actually do. They *are* gimmicky devices and only good for simple stuff.

Hi everyone,
This is kind of off topic, but tech-related so I wasn't sure where to post. My wife and I purchased a pair of Alexas months back and really cannot find a use. Right now, we have one in our living room and the other in a bedroom. I also bought hue bulbs to work with them. Other than setting lights on a schedule and verbally telling alexa to turn them off, we really can't find a good use. Now, I don't expect it to grow legs and cook dinner for us but I'm looking for interesting uses for them. It's okay for a quick check of the weather, but honestly I wish it allowed for more complex inquiries/commands. I'd say about 40-50% of our inquiries aren't comprehended. They were 'fun' for a short while but now I feel they really are a gimmicky device.

So i decied to build my little brother a basic pc, just for homework and basic gaming(if its possible). Ive started building it however it wont load when i put the hdmi into the tv(yes i know its not a monitor). The specs are:
MOBO: Asus M5A97 Le R2.0
CPU: Amd 6300 Processor
Ram: Corsair DDR3 Sticks (2x4)
GPU: Radeon HD 5700
Case: Unbranded however it is in the ebay link attached https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ATX-M-ATX-GAMING-PC-COMPUTER-MID-TOWER-CASE-700W-ATX-PSU/153023155988?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908105057%26meid%3D143197cc2f1141f192859be8ac5eaa15%26pid%3D100675%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D15%26mehot%3Dag%26sd%3D153023155988%26itm%3D153023155988%26pg%3D2481888&_trksid=p2481888.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci%3Ab4753760-aef2-11e9-a89e-74dbd1800ebf|parentrq%3A29cb984616c0a99c257e38a3ff504321|iid%3A1
PSU:LMS Data 700W ATX PSU
When I launch the PSU a blue light appears by one of the symbols on the front(though i cant figure out which) but the power button has no effect. I think this may be because when i have looked at the manual it says on the front panel connectors there should be a speaker connector yet i dont have one, could this be why its not booting? And does anyone have a clear image of how the front panel connectors should look on this motherboard.
Another thing is that i have no hard drive at the moment its coming tommorow, could this be why it is not booting?
If anyone has an answer or has a different problem i should check out please comment, I need help
Thank you

Yeah I could not agree more.

A clean install is highly recommended to avoid the myriads of possible issues.

So it could go either well or fail really miserably. I personally do not recommend doing that, and just doing a clean reimage when you are putting it into a new build just in case. You shouldn't have a licensing issue with it being on the drive/ if you used the media tool. IIRC

Churl reacted to DXT02 in [SOLVED] Changed motherboard and CPU and Windows installation freezes at blue logo
The sacrifice worked !!
Well the solution was pretty simple, my mobo (Z390 Gaming X) had the F4 bios version (First release. August 31, 2018). And Gigabyte added compatibility for 9th gen processors in the F7 version (March 15th 2019). So thanks to the "Q flash" I downloaded the last bios version (F8) and updated it. And it booted windows normally but I decided to reinstall (it didnt freeze anymore!!!)

Hey, another biker!
Thanks, it was the best bang for the buck in my area.
I wanted to buy from a local shop.
First time with disc brakes.
My previous bike is a Gary Fisher Hoo Koo E Koo bought in 2001.
It was stolen four times. I use now it when I need to leave my bike locked.
Transferred over the handlebars to the Giant, can't stand straight bars. They hurt.

I bought parts for my new system!
I got a prime x470 pro on ebay for £80, a ryzen 5 2600 for £73, an 8gb stick of crucial ballistix sport lt 3000mhz cl15 on prime day for £29, and a 250gb 860 evo for £28. Pretty sweet prices I think! Just waiting on the tx650m i bought to arrive and waiting on some deals on a case and gpu!

Minecraft Volume Alpha by C418. Offerings of Anguish by Valac, Hollowed Cadaver by Anatomia and Twilight Eternal by Dawn of Orion. Visits From the Nighthag pt. 2 by the Projectionist. Wolven Degrade by the Black Sorcery. To continue my tradition of unintelligiblity:
Y'all know how it goes:
The Approaching Roar by Altarage, Demo '87 / Rehearsal' 88 by Goatlord, Death and the Beyond by Denial of God, Black Bombs by Slægt, Nekro by K.F.R., Who's Next by the Who, and Terrible Certainty and Coma of Souls by Kreator.
A bit of death, a bit of black, a bit of thrash and a pinch of classic rock.
