Don't know if AMD has fixed them yet, their drivers does have some stability issues. For some it works great and they don't encounter any of it, while others got nothing but problems.

Uninstall all video drivers from your OS and run the AMD try running the card with AMD Drivers from Microsoft through Windows Update. Try that out and see if it still gives you any problems. If not, then download and install the latest driver for your AMD card and test again and see what happens. Windows Drivers works fine but AMD driver doesn't. This means your card is okay, it's just their drivers has problems.

You need to DDU the drivers for the 730, you do not need to be in safemode for DDU to work. It will still work outside of safemode when doing the uninstall and restart option. Use DDU to get rid of the Nvidia drivers when the computer shuts down install the 5500XT again. Get the drivers for it through Windows updater or manually install them instead of trying to use adrenaline. Also make sure that your bios and Windows are as up to date as possible. Your 6700k isn't too old to work with the 5500XT, it should work fine unless there is a problem with something else. If it is something else it's most likely an issue with the riser cable, especially if it's an old one with the new card or a newer gen 4 with the old board. Your motherboard has to support the same PCIE generation as the riser cable.

If you're messing around and it's not a critical application you need for work, go for the adrenaline drivers.

There are instances of the Pro drivers offering significantly less performance and in some cases games refusing to launch with them. I'd also expect there to be less frequent updates for the Pro drivers as they have additional validation that needs to be done on them, though I doubt much of that is done on the gaming RX cards anyway.

Oh there isn't anything else on the drive other than windows, I didn't install anything when I got the PC because I knew I'd want to switch the boot drive to the SSD

Clone the drive with a free software (at least for a time) like Acronis,AOMEI or Macrium

AFAIK Wacom drivers in Linux are fully functional, so it should work just fine. You can always try the live environment of a distro and see if works (all drivers minus Nvidia are installed in the kernel, so you don't need to worry about them). If it works out of the box, it's gonna work perfectly. If it doesn't, you're probably not gonna be able to get it to work.

That said, the biggest issue is gonna be finding a piece of software to use for drawing. Unless you're already used to using something open source for drawing like Krita, you'll have to switch application and the applications you can switch to might not be as good as what you're used to.

My global version Redmi Note 7 can do VoLTE on T-Mobile, so can my father's global Redmi Note 9 Pro. AT&T has their stupid VoLTE whitelist so those will never work, and Verizon is a big question mark.

Imported phones will soon lose the ability to make actual phone calls unless your carrier supports unvalidated VoLTE, which it probably doesn't. Calls fall back to 3G on 99% of imported phones and 3G will soon be gone.

That kinda depends on provider. Verizon decided not to shut down their 3G network last I read. Too many devices were still using it. I think T Mobile has 3G running as well.

Both of you just gave me the brilliant idea of pulling up my current phone and the 10x on Kimovil side by side to see which bands they share in common. Luckily the 10x shares almost all of the 4g bands that my Note 7 has compatible with my current network. Judging from the fact that I've had little connectivity issues w this phone, it looks like the 10x should be perfectly fine atleast for 4g. Big thanks to everyone who've replied to this post, you've all been really really helpful!

Depends on which service provider Tracfone uses. To my understanding most MVNO's use a specific service provider. There are a few I have seen that may have a sim that can access multiple carriers at a time, but many provide you a sim based on what carrier has the best coverage in your area. Like Ive seen providers who will ask if you want a Verizon, AT&T or TMobile sim.

No way to know without you digging deeper and finding out what is used in your area. Like I said, I wouldn't get a phone missing any bands of the carrier I was on.

Use this website, and it'll tell you what bands you need, and what are missing from the phone you're looking at. I personally wouldn't get a phone missing any bands, but a few might be ok depending on what the towers use in your area. Not having the right bands means the phone will not work.

Not a Xiaomi, but i have a Honor Note 8 (in Europe), no rooting required to get GAPPS and mainly Play installed, it did take me a bit to figure it out, but i dunno if i spent more then an hour on it or even 30 minutes on my first try. Getting rid of the chinese apps stuff, well for a few it its not possible without rooting, but most can be disabled and never bother you again (i'm saying this if you don't root the phone), there's this wallet app and their custom store app that that can't be disabled but it never affected me. Just google for:

"installing google play on Redmi 10x"

And you should get a basic understanding if rooting is necessary or not to install gapps.

I never regretted getting this phone everything works fine (i'm talking about my experience up to know with the Honor Note 😎 and of course you can use English. (this part refers to the Redmi or pretty much any android chinese phone, i never seen a Chinese smartphone phone that doesn't come with multiple languages, and i've seen quite a few of them).

What this does, is silences the phone, gives you a transcript on screen, and then gives you an appropriately loud notification the instant it detects a human voice. Meaning, no more god aweful hold music, you can go do what the hell ever while you're on hold, and it'll make sure you know when an agent has picked up for whatever company you're trying to reach.

I don't know about anyone else, but to me, this is the best thing I've had the pleasure to beta test in decades. Google had better keep this one. I haven't seen anyone else bring it up, and thought it deserved attention. This might actually be good to throw into a tech-quickie if LTT would even care.

It's not widely realized, but one of the most common cpus in use today is the good old 6504 used to power computers like the commodore 64 and apple 2 back in the 80s.

Today it can be found in everything from desk fans to refrigerators to cars.

Thanks I'll have to check it out! I think I'm running SATA 2 & honestly after looking at what eBay had in terms of used ssds it actually seems cheaper and better anyway to get a new one.

    Hey!

First of all, back up that data so you don't lose it. The best practice is to clone the old drive to a new one (and don't use the old drive).

I wouldn't ever buy a used Hard Drive because HDDs die a lot, but used SSD could work

make sure your computer supports SATA drives, because computers that old may be running on PATA connection and not support SATA
