I think this is cool, Valve should partner with more TV manufacturers to include Steam Link.
At the same time, TV manufacturers would consider PC gaming more seriously with Valve working with them and perhaps work on the input lag.

just to clarify i have nothing against competition, but frankly there is so much more they should be doing instead of aiming for higher speeds. gigabit is pretty widespread today in SG. the current pricing is affordable and its only a matter of time when more and more are switching over from broadband as their contracts end.

Stuff like ensuring they provide the advertised speed 24/7 and not throttle speeds during peak hours. Starhub themselves have a disclaimer in their contract that as long as you receive above 60% of your contract speed everything is fine and dandy. like what.
Don't get me started on the amount of times their service goes down and how long it takes to restore connection.
Above all, their customer service, oh boy. I can go on for days on that.

Having reached gigabit connection as mainstream imo is all we need for the next few years. You can pretty much get gigabit from any telco at around $50 a month which is pretty affordable given our standard of living. until 4k becomes even more mainstream then maybe we might move forward towards higher speeds.
As of now its easy to tell that most consumer stuff only caps out at gigabit speeds and anything above is really bleeding edge. I understand having this plan for business and what not. But pushing this as the "after gigabit" thing is kinda not the point, at least not right now.
I'm not saying that this isn't useful, i just mean from the perspective of the regular consumer they won't even come close to needing it. Why not push prices down instead of bringing out higher speeds.

I imagine this was the response to the 2Gbps plan, telcos be like we need the top spot. bring out 10gbps.
Soon M1 and starhub will follow suit.

So it goes back to my point of, there are so many areas in our telco's service that needs fixing and imo they should focus on that first.
If, by some miracle, Starhub is able to fix their customer service, ensure reliable service and at the same time provide the advertised speeds. In my eyes they will become the top ISP. Isn't this in itself competition? Since other ISPs will definitely try to follow suit.
In the end this is just my own opinion.

    What ISP are you on?

I used to be on Singtel 500mbps and yes WAN show/Twitch was unwatchable for me. Latency to my US game server was horrible.
I whole heartedly, agree with you that we don't need 500mbps to watch Youtube or Twitch and we shouldn't have such issues.

I got fed up with that and switched to VQ and I haven't had any speed issues since.(barring the network downtime they faced)
From Twitch 720p being an issue, I could watch WAN Show in Source.

In this, we as consumers have to vote with our wallet on the Quality of Service that they provide.
This would come down to each ISP's Peering agreements and capacity that they provision for their customers.

And that's where competition comes in and the ISPs will react to how we vote.
Unfortunately, most people are tied to their Multi Line discounts and don't like the hassle involved  with switching ISPs.

just random idea(s), if you are doing Water cooling
try use orange and blue tubing/rigid tubing and just white or transparent fluid

    Primochill Rigid tubing for example...

will match the portal theme, like portals transporting the fluid

also check out ColdZero's backplate for your graphic cards

you can custom design and get him to print your own designs, probably a robot aiming the portal gun at the  graphic block's g1/4 ports
Use tubing instead of EK FC termnials, it will link up to theme of orange/blue tubes(portals) being opened to transport the fluid.

KitGuru Says: In fact, cancellation of a low-cost hard drives brand makes sense for Western Digital from business standpoint. Increasing price of HDDs by $5 – $10 – a sum that many retail customers will never notice – will help the company to increase its revenues and margins. Any increase in revenue automatically means increase in research and development spending, which means additional performance and capacity.

So Razer's gone and made a new Mamba and it has many DPIs (16,000) and can be lit up with many colors (16.8 mil) as this is a chroma product.
Also Razer is doing the typical Razer thing and calling this "the world's most advanced gaming mouse" and claiming that it being able to go up to 16k DPI is a very good thing (I use my mouse at 2k dpi and that is higher than what most people use).

They also introduced this thing called "Adustable Click Force Techlology" which allows you to change how much force it takes to actuate the mouse button which is pretty cool but idk how many people will actually use this thing.

This mouse is also wireless and has a claimed response time of 1ms which is pretty cool and it charges with a micro USB cable. You can use the mouse while it is charging.

The lighting on this thing is pretty special though, with LED lighting on the scroll wheel, these weird side bar things as well as the Razer logo (that only lights up on the non-wireless championship model, the regular, wireless one's logo doesn't light up). There are 5 modes: Wave, Spectrum Cycling, Breathing, Static, or Reactive.

This thing looks interesting with all the lighting effects and the adjustable clicking force thing, but I really don't like the lighting bars on the side of this thing, as they make it look like some cheap gaming mouse fresh out of China. Also, the whole 16k DPI thing with it being adjustable by 1 DPI increments just seems insane, and unnecessary unless you like your DPI at 1738 exactly or need that high of a DPI to navigate your 3 8k displays without moving your wrist too much. The other main issue with this mouse will likely be the price. If my memory serves me right, the last Mamba sold for 129.99 which is already insane and I'd imagine that this thing will top that figure. Also I am concerned about the battery life though. It being so short means that people are more likely to leave it on the stand until they need to use it, which could lead to over charging and the thing requiring that you have it plugged in for it to function after maybe a year or 2 of use.

sylarspock reacted to LinusTech in AMD did not send review samples of upcoming series to hardware reviewers (like LTT) in time for the 16th reveal
Just gonna weigh in on a couple things here.
    1. I do not have any new cards from AMD. I don't have tracking numbers and I haven't received a product briefing, reviewers guide, or even an official release date. I am way beyond giving a crap about unreleased products (they're nice but I've determined that I can easily stay relevant without any release day reviews anymore) so I don't really run around trying to dig these details up in the industry and read the same site you guys do. I know basically nothing about 3xx.
    2. There's nothing wrong with letting fans have a sneak peek of something ahead of time. I've heard that Intel seeds processors to game streamers, and Nvidia gave away a whackton of G-SYNC modules.
    3. With that said I agree with Ryan's point that something should be independently evaluated prior to release (based on my retailer experience if it's in stores now and a reviewer hasn't had a card for a few days the review won't be ready in time) and from my past experience when a product is objectively really good the brand is beating down the doors of the most trusted journalists to prove how much ass they just kicked.
This behavior looks more like "we can't win with the usual formula here, so let's throw something else at the wall and see if it sticks"
But just like the rest of you I'm speculating.
Ryan may also know more than he says (also speculation) and I'm intentionally waiting until after I post this to ask him so that I'm not revealing something I shouldn't.
The industry is very small and nothing is a secret.
