    Thank you for this info.
I will surely look up on it. Sounds serious enough to waste some time on. 🙂

🤦‍♂️Just now decided to take a look at it. It's a portable charger. I feel like an idiot now.

For a few weeks my tiktok had a 3d printing phase, that whole few months I saw an entire narrative from start to finish of a viral video of some dude having an air quality meter and walking with it from the outside of his garden, into his wood shed and the meter dinking off like we're watching Chernobyl. I doubt I'll find the video as its been a year or two since I last saw it, didn't save it either but did have a discussion with a buddy of mine 3D printing for a side hussle who confirmed there could be some validity to what I saw, cause he has the same, printer in his bedroom running often.

Then there were various reactions of moms and pops testing this themselves, from varying results of air purity to guaranteed illness. Then many people testing various ways of limiting their "plastic in the air" by doing DIY filters or exhausting the air. Funny one was a guy in the kitchen putting a wooden board above his stove and using already existing extractor fan.

That being said, as an outside who merely had glimpses and doesn't know the minute details, probably many such as type of printer, the type of wire used and maybe even the way the printer heats up/burns the plastic?

Its a hand holding an unspecified black box with carbon print.
No sticker no connector, nothing on the picture to recognize it from.
I kinda thought it was a card wallet at first.

Maybe try a bit better. With the photo or your own research (looking for ports and such).

If you wanted to show off how clean your nails are, perfect photo, but for anything else its kinda pretty very useless. Sorry.

I'm sure you could find a new-old-stock OEM battery, I have done so for several of my Latitudes and the E6420 is new enough for those to still be around. Genuine OEM E6420 M5Y0X T54FJ 60Wh Battery For Dell Latitude E5420 E6430 E6520h | eBay Does not seem to have the logo in the plastic though... but an aftermarket manufacturer wouldn't be allowed to put "DELL" on the sticker.

It's from 2011, Dell will have stopped making them long ago and it's likely all you'll find is 3rd party.

It's mentioned in the title, Latitude E6420. Dell doesn't seem to stock them anymore.

If it was me, No. I would use what I have. Learn about what you need by using what you have first. Then after you find it's shortcomings, that is when you buy something more fitting.

Chinese stuffs ain't cheap anymore. They have really gone up in the value chain recently. They still make shit tons of low quality dirt cheap stuffs, but the quality goods like one plus is not that much more affordable compare to the mainstream brands.

Yeah everything which came after the OnePlus 6 was just weird and so overpriced. I liked my OP3T and OP5T. OnePlus once was the cool and really affordable phone Maker. Now they're just like their Competitors who they once swore to destroy by being more affordable.

If you only have a phone maybe spend it on a notebook so you can properly edit the photo's.
Your posture and time will thank you for this upgrade.
Dont do work on phone that should be done on a proper computer. (but then im oldskool so lots of salt 😉)

yes. its known. its called fan bearings. you can just replace the fans and hope that improves it.

but the truth is its almost inaudible most of the time, phones have a weird tendency to pick up noise for some reason, everything sounds totally exaggerated.

btw i know which fan does this in my pc (the noctua cpu cooler one) but since it doesn't always do it, and i almost never hear it... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    works fine ~

Check the notes for the versions inbetween, unless there's explicit mention of requiring sequential updates you can go straight.
Will probably have to set up anything that you need from scratch again.

I prefer updating from within the BIOS itelf than using the "recovery" procedure.
Rollback possibility depends on vendor, again that's typically mentioned in the notes.

updated a computer at work, and amongst other changes, swapped the super shitty e-waste keyboard that flexed from a single finger touch, to a new mechanical keyboard.

Helping the user when he's back:
"Now I just need to find the Enter Key"

....  It's in the exact same place as the old keyboard.

    30 seconds later:
"Now where's the caps lock key"

....  again, it's in the /exact/ same place it was before.

Yeah with this info im not so sure about my diagnosis anymore. 😄
If it was PSU it would completely power down instantly and then power back on after a little while.
You say the fans keep running, this makes me think its not the PSU. (But does help to tell which you have in spec lists).

Sorry i cant be of more help, im not that versed in Linux, others are tho.

But it kinda sounds like it encounters an error, which disable video output, its unable to recover so it shuts down/restarts?!

Hi, I have GPU RX 6600, I went on buildapc the website and it showed max outwattage is around ~350W
I tried it with 450W +80 Gold Be quiet (maybe around 10 years old) and the problem still persistet
Then I swapped to 600W ACP-600MPC (from my previous pre-built 2 years old PC) and the problem is still here.
You think by any chance it could be because of the bad PSU?

I've never had any turning offs/shutdowns with the ACP-600MPC on my previous PC with the previous build.
This is first time I experience it

    Replace the PSU.

As you didnt mention the PSU, i'm guessing its not capable enough for the upgraded system.
Im guessing new system need a bit more power. Most other issues would've resulted in a BSOD.

The way it shuts down and waits then powers back on again really makes me think its the over power protection on the PSU.

    look for the power button.

That must have been really long ago, i've been using Firefox for about 4 years now, and it has been a better experience then base Chrome.
But then i have to mention Vivaldi; making Chrome look like something from 2009...
