Help me find a good battery for a Dell E6420.

Main thing from an Ebay search is most of the batteries have the same label as my old one, but they lack the Dell emblem molded in the plastic. Very few have it. So I'm wondering if I should avoid the ones that lack the emblem, or if Dell did indeed make these. I would prefer to stick to OEM for quality. Or do you think all the real OEM batteries have been lost to deterioration and I should get a reproduction? What do I look for? I just want a good healthy battery for my Latitude.

Need more specs!
Precise notebook model would be nice.
Maybe battery model number if you want others to search for you. etc. 😉

Als did you try seraching diretly as Dell's website? Or do they not have it anymore?

I'm sure you could find a new-old-stock OEM battery, I have done so for several of my Latitudes and the E6420 is new enough for those to still be around. Genuine OEM E6420 M5Y0X T54FJ 60Wh Battery For Dell Latitude E5420 E6430 E6520h | eBay Does not seem to have the logo in the plastic though... but an aftermarket manufacturer wouldn't be allowed to put "DELL" on the sticker.

It's mentioned in the title, Latitude E6420. Dell doesn't seem to stock them anymore.

It's from 2011, Dell will have stopped making them long ago and it's likely all you'll find is 3rd party.

Best you can do is get a generic 3rd party one or a old stock one from dell. The second one will be severly degraded since its over a decade old and the 3rd parties may be better but unknown due to quality and when they were made.

By the time you need a new battery it's often all old new stock; items that have been sitting on a shelf for years. They'll work, but they're often not spectacular

The problem with that approach is sketchy sellers. "richbatt" was created 2 years ago and is located in China.
