What do you mean opengl doesnt work?

Do you mean the 2 drivers they had that broke opengl for a couple months? Thats been fixed for a bit.

As for the arc. 190$ ain bad but not something id give for a first gen product when a rx6600 is available.

what features do you need it to have?

The way to buy motherboards is to find the cheapest (well reviewed board) that has all the features you need. Buying a more expensive board will only get you more features, not more performance (overclocking is an exception, but it is kinda pointless).

Typically we recommend most people buy a B650 or B650E board.

I think you need to reflash the bios chip externally.

Plus, I don't know the age of that board. I had 2 MSI board, Z77 and Z170 for 3 years, and they all failed after a day after their 2-3 years warranty period is up, and the best part: I didn't OC my CPU at all.

The two to seven days before, it randomly default my settings for no reason--display a warning on a cold boot.

    Side note:

Since it's 1st gen AMD, have you tried even more JEDEC spec (no XMP profile at all, it literally runs at that speed and timings) memory, like 2.133 GT/s sticks instead?

Yeah but any reason sticking with Intel dead end socket?

Budget?? Only you can define whether an upgrade is necessary if the 10700 is no longer giving you the performance your expecting.

type in in start menu, "ncpa.cpl" w/o quotes

go to your network adapter > properties > configure , and find/adjust the speed of the adapter to full duplex or change the speed in one of the options to 1GB/s or something along those lines or 10/100 or 100/1000  something along that in order to reach max potential speed. It could be the the adapter is configured wrongly

here is an image of what i'm talking about. In your case select the 1.0 GBPS full duplex

You can get a brand new RX 6500 XT for about $140 brand new, so I would not charge much more than 100 for brand new

You can actually get new RX 580 cards to this day, and not just no-name "new" ones on Aliexpress where they took old silicon and soldered it to new PCBs. Best Buy still occasionally gets in brand new RX 580 cards from major brands as bizarre as that seems. They currently have an XFX model for $130.

So... $130 at most. More realistically, around $100 considering that you aren't a major retailer with the sort of credibility that that lends.

The LCD has its own processor inside, it's not using your CPU or GPU for the image on the display. That's why it can only do simple things like gifs and 2D graphics for temps and stuff.

Fasauceome reacted to da na in DOes more monitors mean bad performance
It depends on what you have on those monitors - and if those apps use hardware acceleration. 2 monitors with maybe File Explorer, Discord, and a web browser for example won't add much load - especially if you disable hardware acceleration in Discord and your browser. But playing a YouTube video on one or two of those monitors adds additional GPU load.

Yep, the 6700XT and 6750XT are pretty powerful for the price at the moment. It would be a good upgrade from the 6600 for a high refresh rate experience.

the one you got is not bad for the price to be honest. I am not sure you would get a better one for $300, but on the other hand you could get a nice one for $200 and have $100 more for your PC

Simply set your recording device as your USB webcam. The camera shouldn't need to be capturing image in order for it to capture audio.

    1440p? No significant bottleneck.
    1080p? Yes, a noticeable bottleneck, but the solution isn't a platform upgrade - it's a monitor upgrade.

A 11700k will be plenty for a 4060 or 4060 Ti 🙂 The bottleneck wouldnt be enough to worry about.
Bottlenecking does not destroy or damage parts.  Its not harmful or dangerous in any way.
You can happily pair the 11700k with a 4060 Ti .

The RX 580 is not a bad card for a budget build, especially the 8GB variant. Sapphire makes some pretty banger graphics cards, so if you can get your friend to do a lower price, you probably won't regret getting this one.

A used GTX 1070 TI is also worth considering in the sub-$100 category. We are talking USD correct?

Is there a reason you are targeting 32 inches, specifically? Also, what resolution are you attempting to play at? A 32" 1080p display isn't advisable and a 4k display with a high refresh rate is going to out of your price range.

It’ll do fine, it’s definitely an old card at this point but you can watch modern benchmarks for the rx 580, it’ll play current games in 1080p no issues.

If the EU can force apple to use USB-C because of how badly it affects the consumer otherwise, I can only hope that HP will lose. There needs to be a stronger legal precedent that protects the customer's right to actually own their electronics.

if  there is a security risk caused by the ink cartridge, that risk only exists because HP chips the ink cartridges to prevent people from using third party ink cartridges.
The only supposedly legitimate reason for it is to tell the printer what cartridge is installed and how many pages it's estimated to be able to print before running out of ink, but in my experience that honestly seems to be nothing more than a way to nag customers to buy more ink and prevent the printer from printing even when there's ink left in the cartridge. Printers worked just fine before ink level sensors. I'd happily accept having to reprint a page because ink ran out half way through the page rather than have the printer refuse to print at all because it thinks it's low on cyan.

I really hope that HP loses and the EU forces printer manufacturers to allow third party ink cartridges. I'm surprised it hasn't already happened.

    That's an interesting argument.

"Our printers are so insecure, and have so much control over the devices that connect to them, that inserting a cartridge can cause it to fill your entire network with malware."

Sounds like the problem is the fact that the printers are so insecure, and have so much control over the devices that connect to them, rather than a problem with evil, infected ink cartridges of doom.
