@GYMNAKO CLOTHING BRAND ... LEGIT OR SCAM....

Crystal S

Hi everyone! Do you know of a clothing brand called @Gymnako.official? They recently contacted me on IG asking to be an Ambassador. I would like to know if they are a legit sponsor or a scam!

When I search them, I only see their store, curvenako. Does not look like a well-established brand.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

Website for their store is barely a month old. I'd be weary.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

Their clothing doesn't look like anything special. They're likely just hoping to make a quick buck.

This is a type of Influencer / Brand Ambassador scam.

How the scam works:

The scammers will set up a website and instagram account. They will reach out to people on Instagram offering a deal to be a brand ambassador to promote their products. They will claim that their goods are worth $100+ and offer either heavy discounts for brand ambassadors or free items with you just paying a $20 delivery fee. The scam works by having you pay the fake delivery fee or the fake "discounted" price for the products which is actually still heavily inflated over the real price. They may send you an item that is really only worth a few dollars from China with free shipping, or they may send you nothing at all.

If you receiving any messages from instagram accounts asking you about being a brand ambassador it is a scam. Report and block the account.

The website is a scam website.

The website was created less than 2 months ago and information on the website (such as privacy policy) has been copied from another website which appears to have been shut down (probably the last scam website they used that was shut down).

The description on all the products is for sunglasses where they've lazily copied the product description from some other website.

The instagram account is using bot followers to boost their follower numbers.

Their instagram photos are stolen from other instagram posts/websites.

The photos of the clothes they're using on the website have all been grabbed from sites like Alibaba and Aliexpress, where the same clothes they're advertising on their website for $100+ are being sold for as little as $3.

For example this is a random product I took from their home page advertised at $109. It's being sold on Alibaba for $6.90, or less if bought in bulk.
