Which CPU

I want to upgrade my intel i7-10700 CPU. Should i get the i5-13600K or the i7-14700K. (Or other suggestions). Is it even worth the upgrade?

Yeah but any reason sticking with Intel dead end socket?

Budget?? Only you can define whether an upgrade is necessary if the 10700 is no longer giving you the performance your expecting.

I am only be gaming. Is the the 7800x3d better for gaming. What does the 3D mean?

It does perform better in gaming - it is due to the 3D V-cache. It allows the CPU to perform better in certain tasks, but gaming is definitely one of them that can see a huge benefit.

When you thought about the 13600K and 14700K, what was your thought process?  Did you google anything about CPUs? Or even gaming CPUs?

Have you done any research at all into what you're looking to buy?

The 7800X3D is arguably the fastest gaming processor currently available , Slower than the 14900k in some stuff but Faster in other stuff.

All this being said whether you get a 14700k or 7800X3D won't really matter much you will be getting a top tier experience.

Difference is though the 14700k platform is end of life and AM5 still has atleast 1 generation and more than likely 2 generations left on its platform.

EDIT : The 7800X3D is also alot more power efficient in gaming workloads than the 14700k.

CPU : Ryzen 7 7800X3D @ -18mv all core except -13mv on Core 5 because its a pig.

CPU Cooler : Deepcool AK620 Zero Dark

Mobo : MSI B650M-A Wifi MATX

Ram : 32GB (2X16GB) Corsair Vengeance DDR5 6000MHZ CL34

GPU : Reference Design RX7900XT sold by Saphire running at 1050MV undervolt and +15% PL (355w)

Storage : 1TB WD SN770 + 2TB Samsung 970 Evo

PSU : Corsair HX750w Platinum

Case : Asus Prime AP201 All Mesh MATX

Case Fans : Arctic p12's everywhere i can fit them in , 7 In total.

Monitor : LG 27GP850-B.BEK 1440p Nano IPS 180Hz

Do you have any recomendations for a motherboard that supports AM5. It has to be white

What games are you playing?

What GPU do you have?

How much RAM do you have and what speed?

Really, the i7 10700 is still a really good CPU with 8 cores and 16 threads. If you are doing anything that more cpu power will greatly help in is understandable, but general gaming at full HD should not be a problem, even at higher resolutions as long it does drastically bottleneck the GPU.
