    Thank you.

Looks like one is dying but out of warranty, so I will just sell the other and replace.

Unfortunately I've been suckered in and do like that RAM, so as much as I want the best performance, I'll have to sacrifice some for the one I like.

Thanks. That calculator gives me the exact same numbers as that reddit post. I think in this instance, getting the 3600 would be best.

Ok, thank you. So 3600 would be the one to go for. I thought as much, just wanted to be sure

perhaps changing ryzen 4000 to zen 3 would yield better results

    Solved it!
When I put the front of the case on it squeezes the fins so they won't spin! 🤣

Thank you for such a usefull programme!
I've just shaved off 120gb off my C drive with a temp Fallout folder and some random old Forza files!

This is another alternative to finding whatever files are sizable and need to be found/cleaned...

My experience on this topic happened with Adobe Project preview files being saved to the Adobe folder (old projects) and once cleared, all good.

You need to have a dig around the user files, maybe another profile is on there.

Also maybe there is a “windows.old” somewhere or maybe there are restore points taking up space?

it's normal, usually there's some cache files that are invisible in explorer.
some program leaves temporary without properly removing it.
use TreeSize to look up which folders are using those spaces.

SM Phoo got a reaction from AskTJ in New Ram causing blue screen problems
The original 2 I had installed had the XPM profile so the ram would run at the 3000mhz they can.
Today I just put the other two sticks in, went straight to bios, disabled xpm, then enabled it again, and that set them back to 3000mhz.

I'll drop the speeds back down if / when it bluescreens again. So far so good, it's been running 50minutes right now, so hoping it was something of nothing, but time will tell I guess

    Great answers. Thank you
I'd have tested myself but until I get my desk built it's just sat in a corner waiting

The speed differs not for accessories like mice and keyboards, the only time it differs is in data transfer from a hard drive or thumb stick. And USB 3.0 sometimes have problems with windows for me so I always go with 2.0.

SM Phoo got a reaction from kirashi in Should I wait in case they announce a new card next month?
Hey guys. This month I've had a real urge to finally jump on the PC bandwagon after years of console gaming.
I've watched a lot of LTT youtube video's that have been super helpful.

My budget is ideally 1200-1500, but this all really dependant on the GPU.
I'm aiming for i7 8700k, 16gb 3000mhz corsair ram, Asus tuf mobo and all the other bits needed.

I was originally wanting to use the PC on my 4k HDR tv, but asking around, people say once I try a 144hz monitor for the higher frames I'll never look back.
If I bought a 1080p 144hz monitor, is a 1080ti graphics an overkill? and if so, any recommendations.
I am hoping a phone call to a PC store tomorrow gets me the above build with a 1080ti card, but since, I've read that they may announce a new card next month.
If this is the case, should I wait for that? I know it's a very how long is a piece of string question, but I guess I don't need a PC this second.

Also, if they do announce a successor to the 1080ti, should the 1080ti drop in price or would the new GPU come in at a higher price. Again, I know it's a very guess type question, but rom past releases I guess there is a pattern of some sort

Anyway, thanks for reading and any responses will be greatly appreciated
