Different USB ports on my motherboard: Are they for anything in particular?

I have an Aorus Ultra Gaming Mobo and I need to use 6 USB sockets for the things I use.

2 x Kb

1 x Mouse

1 x astro transmitter

1 x Wireless USB

1 x USB to monitor

The confusion I have is the different types of USB.

It has 2 x usb 2.0 and 3.0 (Black and blue)

2 x Yellow USB 3.0 Dac Up

1 x Red USB 3.1

Probably a stupid question, but do all these just perform like basic USB sockets?

Thanks

Simple terms.

Yes.

But it depends. somethings are not 3.0 USB compatible.

So it depends what you are using.

The things you listed should all be.

Besides the Wireless USB its most likely 2.0

USB to monitor... uh 3.0 Not sure what you mean by that.

Any other questions let me know!

The monitor has an upstream USB port so I can connect it to my PC and then I gain two extra USB ports through my monitor (Which will be used to charge my phone and iPad while at the desk.

I guess while you're around I'll also ask.

The PC is for gaming. Would my mouse / KB benefit from being in the USB 3 ports over USB 2?

More curious than anything with that question xD

The speed differs not for accessories like mice and keyboards, the only time it differs is in data transfer from a hard drive or thumb stick. And USB 3.0 sometimes have problems with windows for me so I always go with 2.0.

Great answers. Thank you :)

I'd have tested myself but until I get my desk built it's just sat in a corner waiting :(
