AMD 4000 series CPU

Hey guys, with the drop of the new GPUs I'm looking at starting my next build very soon and want to wait for the above CPU before making any decision.

That being said, I cant really find any relevant news on this chip so do we expect it to drop soon?

Every time I search google for AMD 4000 I just get laptop news or stuff about intels new laptop CPU

perhaps changing ryzen 4000 to zen 3 would yield better results

 

that said, they are rumored to be released near the end of this year, nothing official yet though

nothing has really been announced yet but you could expect them by the end of the year. If you want to do a build something like a 3600 could tie you over with a new ampere gpu until then.  (obviously this depends on your budget)

I think they were somewhat delayed by covid-19, but AMD has confirmed on several occasions that Zen 3 will release this year. That could be Dec 31, for all we know, but I'd imagine we'll see them drop right before the holiday season, probably November.

2600 is crazy cheap, you might wanna get that instead of 3600, as a temporal solution.

4000 rumored to launch at computex (30 sept), but since the event is cancelled, there's no indications on when it's going to be announced.

So you might be waiting till the end of the year, at worst january.

ryzen 4000 in laptops is actually just zen 2, wait for zen 3 to release, as to when will that happen, we don't really know, but it's supposedly later this year.

This. From what I've seen, many speculated they'll be released alongside the consoles. Which will most likely happen in November to rake in the holiday sales.
