Guess the pc gods decided to smile on me. I inserted a m.2 with windows installed and I was able to go into bios by default they switch off usb legacy, supper annoying considering we're in a age where we belive PS/2 connectors shouldn't exist on motherboards. 
 

Don't even know who the dude is but I do know that sponsorships should be taken with a grain of salt. I'm not going to get something for free that expensive and talk crap on it.

I have two Synology NAS. Both are using Seagate IronWolf 5400rpm drives. Can't hear a thing, and both are on a shelf about 4 feet away from my bed. 
One NAS is a dedicated Plex server, and it has 2x 6TB drives. 
The other is dedicated to family photo backups, and it has 2x 2TB drives. 
 
I've had the 2TB drives for about 4 years now. 
The 6TB drives will be 2 years in February.

I'm attempting to clone a PS3 HDD, you'll probably say to just use a flash drive and restore software, I would but I'm not really wanting to look for a old official PS3 controller in order to get past the recovery menu, yes it's a super annoying thing the PS3 does. Although I almost managed to clone it correctly I'm running into a issue where half of the space is left unallocated as much as I tried merging it to the finished cloned drive it wont allow me to. I'm hoping there might be some people out there who has came across issues like this, I'm using AOMEI as a tool, or if someone can recommend other software that might do it. I'm going from a 500GB to a 1TB so I'm assuming it's cloning it exactly from the 500GB and not automatically adjusting it's cluster size. It might just be a simple option on my end that I'm not setting up right, never done this before so would appreciate advice. =)
 

 

There is no USB3 external optical drive that I know of, the fastest DVD drive there is won't even saturate USB2 (16x is just 20MB/s) so it's pointless to use a more expensive USB3 adapter board. A fast internal blu-ray drive could benefit but it's likely a "laptop" drive won't even read one fast enough either anyway.
 
So yeah they'll have lied to you as in "works with a USB3 port". Or they did mention USB3 because you should use a USB3 port just for the higher power supply ability.

When has that ever stopped a manufacturer though it's simply hey look at what I can achieve. I get what you're saying but they'll do it just because they can do it. Heck I still think the lcd display on my vita is beautiful even compared to oled. It's a generation gap thing imo also. Newer generations won't be all that impressed but older generations that lived off crt will be amazed and I mean the ones that aren't all that tech savvy with it. A big problem with manufacturers and the general public are is that big cooperates don't expect its audience to research and see past the bs marketing.

It's a nice option though being able to hotswap them sounds so nice.

Honestly he came into a console board and started shouting that console suck without any knowledge of knowing that I already own a gaming pc with  a beastly vishera cpu along with a 7950 and asus mobo. It was a very immature response indeed and most people frown on immature opinions. The user clearly is a pc fan boy so I'm not in shock one bit. However these consoles clearly do not suck.
 
I'm a gamer at heart so it's only fair that I'd want a console. As long as it's fun I have no problem gaming on whatever console is thrown at me.
And I'm sure if you're a gamer at heart that you'll eventually own a ps4 and xbox one no matter how badly you're thrashing them at one point in your life.
 
If you come into a console board just to tell people to buy a pc you need to rethink your hobby.

Thats how I feel about, it's a bit funny how people are always like hey you don't need a console if you have a gaming pc, well buddy you don't need that gaming pc at all now do you? lol
