Since it's using GDDR6 I guess the price is semi more reasonable than what it would be with HBM2. Little late to the game but I guess better late than never if the price is right. I am more interested to see what happens when there is Intel, AMD, and Nvidia all competing

So tired of this bullshit naming scheme.. FFS.. grow some creativity and originality.. Screw that article that loves this naming scheme.. It does nothing but promote confusion from the less informed.

Read it. Don't believe it. I'm not even certain that it'll paper launch at E3 frankly. If it does, great. I'm betting the RX 3080 top of the line is more between 2060 and 2070, around overclocked 2060 performance, and with a $350 MSRP, right in line with RTX 2060, but with some aggressive third party deals to make it the better value. AMD will not compete on the high end so long as they're bound by an iteration of the GCN architecture IMHO.

I have to say I'm kinda upset about this. I always hoped they'd expand their group buy platform to the UK so we could get the same stuff but not have to pay ridiculous shipping costs. Now they're just another online retailer dealing in expensive tech and going up against Amazon.

You and I are complete opposite. I found the G502 to be too heavy even without any weights in it.

According to the Logitech G online store, it doesn't include the PowerPlay mat.

Mouse for gaming. Mouse is the primary interface with the PC, so get one with a good sensor. Logitech G502 I would strongly recommend.

There's just too much agenda and opinion in this sort of topic.

What exactly didn't make sense about it?

The time limit was to ensure a defined quantity to be fulfilled. They negotiate with the manufacturer for set prices (based on how much volume), and then they sell for a set period. Once that period ends, then the manufacturer knows exactly how many orders to fulfill.

Is it super practical? No. But it was originally for niche items that never sold in high volumes anyway.

If they remain a relevant place to buy niche items at better/equivalent prices, I'll still use them.

I'll also still refer to them as MassDrop, as that's the name people will recognize in conversation.

I can fit 3 items on a screen at a time on 1080p, same at 1366x768. Why the fuck???? The only way it looks good is on my 43" 4k monitor, where I can fit multiple rows on screen. Did they literally design this for a fucking TV?

The only way this trash heap is even tolerable to browser without feeling boxed in is zooming out, being that it's the one fucking site that doesn't rescale when you zoom to make it cancer no matter the rendering size.

Is it actually ironic that they would drop group buying, and also drop "mass" from the name?  That seems like the opposite of ironic to me... like, it makes perfect sense.

Not that they would do those things - that's dumb; they were unique and now they'll just be another retailer - but I mean, if they're gonna make one of those changes the other goes with it nicely.

While I never bought anything from that site, Massdrop is a lot easier to remember in the long run, compared to a vague word Drop.
Only time will tell if the name change was good or not, by seeing how many customers are still left, as time passes on.

Why does that matter, the older MacBook Pros thermally were better. Then they got too thin, for no good reason, and suffer thermal design constraints because of it. Did Apple forget they have MacBook Airs? They have a specific product made to be thin, thin isn't better, thick isn't better either. MacBook Pro is supposed to be a performance balanced laptop and that is why I used to consider them the best laptops you could by, period. Now I don't.
