mmCharles got a reaction from Ithanul in Do you ever wonder what it's like to be poor?
Topics like this are always a question of relativity. My idea of poor will be different to your idea of poor. I’m in a position where, if I wanted to, could go out and pick up something of moderate value for my hobbies. Cars, properties etc. are not on the table however.

There's a cheaper version which doesn't have the majority of the characters but will give you an idea of the gameplay.

OEM cards tend to look different, mainly because they don't need to adhere to consumer looks.

that's not an overclock fam you can leave voltage stock even for 3.6

The software is most likely not applying the overclock to the BIOS itself, and not applying it at application start-up either. You might be able to change it so it can edit the BIOS settings.

Try overclocking with bios, not software..

From my knowledge they just re-code the game verification to either work in ofline mode or bypass the verification(DRM). Most games is uses the same DRM lock/verification, so cracking on DRM protection will allow them to implement similar code to other games. This is why some games get cracked on first day of release while other may take longer due to newer or different DRM protection which they haven't faced.

mmCharles got a reaction from Mr.Meerkat in BenQ XL2411 refresh rate
I ran out and picked up an AOC G2460PF. It came with every cable the monitor supports, so that was super handy considering the shop I got it from didn't sell DisplayPort cables. Thanks for all the replies guys, helped a tonne!

HDMI supports Freesync at 120hz, DP at 144hz.

EDIT: According to the manual, TH is wrong, HDMI is limited to 76hz. https://aoc-pim.s3.amazonaws.com/Public/AOC/Product Data and Pictures/60ID/G2460PF/Manual/English_G2460PF.pdf (page 50)

£250 is plenty for a 24" 144Hz 1080p monitor.
Asus VG248QE (on sale at CCL plus free delivery else I would have linked Amazon - should state how as its £30 cheaper than it is on Amazon/Scan, I view it as a sale)
Acer XF240H
ViewSonic XG2401
LG 24GM79G

RX 580 4gb, the 4gb vs 8gb MAKES ABSOLUTELY NO DIFFERENCE IN 1080P and it will continue to never make a difference since by the time a game actually requires to use more than 4gb simply to run at 1080p the processing chip on it will be already too weak either ways, we're talking about another 7 ish years from today.
With that said, having in mind the RX 580 and GTX 1060 are on pair and trade blows across the board I'd simply advise going with the cheapest alternative that still features decent enough cooling.

My money is on this as well.
Try putting more work on the GPU in League. The best way to do this is download Nvidia Inspector, go to the League of Legends profile, set the AA compatibility bits to Diablo 3, and force the game to use 4xMSAA + 4xSGSSAA.

Have you monitored the GPU whilst playing League? Not all games are deemed taxing enough by GPU Boost 3.0 on Pascal cards, so clocks don’t ramp up in lesser demanding games. I bet if you were playing it at 1440p or 4K you would see 300+ FPS.

Wish is just a portal to Chinese manufacturers, I guess the closest comparison would be AliExpress.
I have to admit, they did catch my attention with an immediate thought on building a mining PC but they have to be fakes. There’s absolutely no way these things have the same power as a genuine card from a reputable company.
I wonder if Linus would make a video on this... It’s an interesting topic I think.

Fake. Seriously not even a logo anywhere? Who knows what card can that be? Could be a cooler swap onto a much smaller (and weaker) card.
In the Chinese market I have seen multiple times where cheap cards are being modded to look like more expensive ones, such as GTS 450s being BIOS modded to be a GTX 960 (still with 1GB vRAM though) and HD5970 to 290x. Some even use aftermarket coolers from for example, Arctic, to prevent identification from the cooler on old cards from popular brands.
