Should I buy Rainbow Six Siege?

joshm1802

I've been looking at buying Rainbow Six Siege, but was wondering if there was any point in buying it now as it has been out for two years, just because most people are experienced in playing already and I will have to catch up quickly. And do many people even play it anymore?

There's a cheaper version which doesn't have the majority of the characters but will give you an idea of the gameplay.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600 3.95GHz [1.365v] // Mobo: ASRock B350 Pro4 // GPU: EVGA GTX1070 8GB SC Black Edition

At least here in Brazil, R6S is still played a lot, it's one of the most played games on Steam (global) if I'm not mistaken.

There's some stuff to catch up to yes, but it's not much and the pace of seasons is slow enough to learn everything.

On that note, do not buy the Starter Edition, it's not worth it. All operators are set to cost 25k Credits (Where normally only DLC operators would). The standard edition is only a bit more expensive and is easier to get a hang of, since the pricing drops down to (up to) 2k per (non-dlc) operator.

Just buy it and decide for yourself. If you don't like it you can get a refund as long as your playtime doesn't extend 2 hours.

If you like the game, you can play it for a long time. Don't consider others view, after all, you are the one who plays the game.
