My thoughts
This post, as well as several other comments stating that Gabe Newell showed up to their house means Gabe has decided to hand deliver a few Steam Decks from the launch this Saturday. Alongside the camera crew, it looks like Valve is looking to create a "first delivery" highlight reaction reel of sorts.

Ah, so you are saying the company by making a card where the connectors are in a different place helps ensure that they will have a product that can be used by a greater variety of customers.

Rear connectors and a 2-slot blower design? This has got to be designed for use in servers - a replacement for the blower-style titans they used to use. Even the shroud seems to be designed with the idea of these being butted up next to each other - the plastic at the rear is shallower, allowing air to flow around the fan hub and through the fin array, exiting at the top by the IO. Exactly how most servers work.

Not great for the lifespan of your hardware... If you want to keep it safe I would underclock a bit just to keep those temps down.
You could also disable folding on your lower performance component if the thermal solution in your laptop isn't capable of cooling both at full load
Folding is great but don't sacrifice your hardware!

There's nothing shady about that at all. It's very common to label the card as AMD or Nvidia and then put in whatever specific card they choose to put in. And the fact that they mark up the card also isn't shady at all given that they're in the business of making money.
AMD/Nvidia is just part of the model name.

techied reacted to Ravendarat in Quadrupling the the price for LTT on Float plane. just to start!!!!
Im pretty sure its not going to $8, its going up to $5 not an additional $5. But them splitting it up to separate channels is a killer for me, I understand what you were saying about not wanting it to seem like an unfair advantage over the smaller creators but from a consumer stand point it looks and feels like a way to make us pay substantially more money every month for your content. Also lets not overlook in the past that, as you said, you started at $3 bucks a month because it was an unstable platform so you didnt feel comfortable charging more for it. Im not sure I can consider it to be stable now. Just in the last month there have still been many problems with content delivery. If it went to $5 a month but included all LTT content than I would probably stayed subscribed but as it sits, the moment it gets all separated I will be cancelling my sub. Once again just like the OP I am an adult with a well paying job, I could certainly pay $15 a month for the content but I dont feel like this is being done with %100 sincerity and because of that I will be out. Sorry Guys

XP and Aero on W7 is still awesome tbh. I don't know which twat came up with the "modern" style stuff uses today but i don't like it at all. It's just too, simple... I mean we have fantastic hardware today, use it to make stuff look good, not boring...
