Leglessmatt got a reaction from JabroniBaloney in Left Handed MX Master - sign the petition please :)
Hi All,
As a lefty (not by choice but I'm stuck with it), I'm rather miffed (in a tea drinking, British way) that the Logitech MX Master mouse only comes in a right handed version...so much so that I've had to settle with the smaller, ambidexterous, travel mouse.
I've tried using my specia....right hand, but cannot seem to make it work; either getting cramp, or it just feeling 'weird'.
I'm sure there are many others out there with the same life changing issue as me (legs aside)....therefore....
Please consider signing my petition here and hopefully Logitech the left handed version - simply its just a matter of making the parts in side out ?

thanks for reading, sorry if this sort of post is not allowed but I simply must have my perfect mouse,
Matt

I wouldn't risk trying to hold it with 3M tape. Would a desk-mounted VESA arm work?
-

Just drill, if you move it later wood putty or spackle is the easiest stuff in the world to hide the holes with,

can it be done? maybe. However if it does work it will more than likely damage the wall far more when removing it than drilling into it would have.

it will fail
youve got 2 options
desk it
and
drill, baby, drill

I would think twice about that if it is a work desk you do not own. That Velcro strip looks permanent once it is stuck down. Thus I would look into the 3M Velcro Command strips so you can remove them without worry.

There was a cable select option but it never worked.

As far as I know it was a complete flop and no one really supported it

They use LiPo batteries IIRC, so just charge it to full, then use it till it gets to around 10% then charge it back up, easy as that. It's a good routine to do this once every month.

Leglessmatt reacted to Hans Christian | Teri in 'Backup' method
Always at least have one offsite backup, whether it be cloud or a NAS at some other place (or even more primitively a HDD that is regularly updated and then moved away) doesn't matter much unless his data is extremely sensitive (as in someone wants to obtain it without permission etc).
-
Leglessmatt reacted to Almercenary in 'Backup' method
For a backup ALWAYS either use offline HDD's OR a cloud based method. Or else there is no point really.
-
Leglessmatt reacted to C_Mike in 'Backup' method
Using a second HDD as a "backup drive" is practically pointless. If there's a power surge, a fire or some sort of natural disaster his data will be gone, and the second HDD would have made no difference. If its only a small amount of data , like you said he should use dropbox or some other sort of cloud-based storage.
If he doesn't want to do that, then he could backup to an external drive or usb flash drive, and keep it in a fire safe to keep is protected.

Hi, regular viewer/first time poster.
I wish this forum was around ten years ago, would have helped a lot and saved a few pounds!
Cheers,
