New Battery Care

Leglessmatt

So...I've just changed my iphone 4s battery after 1~ year of good service and 1~ of cra*p service....

I've searched and some people mention I should let the new battery drain fully 3 times before I start charging it 'regularly'.

Thought I would see what the consensus is here...

cheers as always,

Matt

I don't think you need to, even still when it dies it dies, whether you follow some instructions or not, but charging only after it's been fully drained does improve the life expectancy or stability, just keep that in mind..

Details separate people.

They use LiPo batteries IIRC, so just charge it to full, then use it till it gets to around 10% then charge it back up, easy as that. It's a good routine to do this once every month.

Lithium batteries are best recharged between 40 and 70 percent, and they don't like going below around 10%.
