It shouldn't be buzzing like that, though.

The only thing you should (or should not) hear is the PSU fan spinning. Anything else is cause for concern.

I am sure that EVGA customer support can verify if this is an issue or not.

xmodex got a reaction from RGProductions in Just built my rig and psu makes buzzing sound?
I got evga supernova 850w, on the box it says 'silent series' lols, the fan doesnt start to spin till it get 50c or over something like that, i can never hear the fan its all great, but the electricity sound is bugging me a bit, its more noticeble when surfing the web.

I just tested a game on max settings to draw more power from psu, the electricity sound changed and it was less noticable.

Basically its annoying only when surfing the web ect. coz in silent condition its the loudest thing in the room and a bit annoying  idk if they're all like this or this particular one i got is this way.

Windows key + R, type diskmgmt.msc and right click the unallocated space and create a basic volume. Format as NTFS and you're good to go.

You should be able to download the drivers to a different computer from the Mobo manufacturers site, put them on a USB drive and plug that into the desktop.

xmodex reacted to Princess Luna in Where do i connect the case fan psu or motherboard?
Connecting Fans to the mobo is always preferable, you should only connect them to the PSU if your mobo runs out of connectors.

xmodex reacted to mariushm in How to connect hard drive?
To the right of the sata connector on the hard drive (the narrow one) there are sometimes some pins which you don't really have to mess with, and there's no connector to plug into that one.
Basically, some hard drive have those pins there for compatibility reasons...
For example, you may place a jumper between two of those pins to make the hard drive show up as a 2 TB hard drive, if your computer is an older one which has a BIOS that isn't capable of recognizing or working with hard drives larger than 2 TB.  If there's no BIOS update for that computer, or if for some reasons you really can't change the motherboard (maybe you licensed some very expensive software that's tied to the motherboard and cpu), it may be preferable to use just 2 TB of the 3TB, instead of having to wait some more time or buy a smaller hard drive.
Another example... even though SATA versions are supposed to be backwards compatible, some of the first SATA controllers (on motherboards) didn't really like to detect or work with SATA 2 or SATA 3 hard drives connected to them. So some hard drives have a couple of pins that could be shorted using a jumper to make the hard drive be detected as older SATA drive. The hard drive would talk to motherboard saying it's a SATA 1 hard drive, with maximum speeds of 150 MB/s and everybody would be happy.

Anyway... like the others above said, you only need one power cable which comes from the power supply (and is wide and shaped like a L so you can't plug it the wrong way) and one SATA cable that goes from motherboard connector to the smaller connector to the right of the power connector on your hard drive. It's also keyed so you can't insert it the wrong way.

Connect to 4-pin fan header in motherboard, so you can control the speed properly.

Turn it on as your actual wattage draw will be no where near the wattage draw/temps required to actually spin the fan.

xmodex reacted to RollinLower in How to position psu in phanteks mini itx?
i used to have the enthoo ITX and i placed it with the fan on the bottom. this way it has it's own little air circulation away from the rest of the system, and the bottom hole is filtered.
if you plan to set the case on carpet you should definitely put the fan on the top though to prevent cutting off it's supply of fresh air.

inside if the cables can reach in that orientation.
    else outside.
It has holes for both orientation so neither is wrong.

its liquid metal, so if it contacts with your motherboard or anything else it'll ruin them. but because its liquid metal it'll give the best temperature results

Off the top of my head, it's conductive and corrosive to certain materials. Copper? Nickel? Not sure which one. You have to be careful of what is coming in contact with it.

Bluetooth should work just fine with your PC, but if you're not running Win10 then you'll have to install the drivers.
And yes, you have to use a rechargeable kit to charge the battery.

lol it was a joke, i was being literal

But yea as they say, the PCIe is much faster and sometimes more expensive than their counterparts. but unlike the second one it does not share bandwidth with the SATA ports, meaning you can populate all the SATA ports and still have that extra one.
but if u populate all your SATA ports, and you use an M.2 SATA drive it'll be MUCH slow.

xmodex reacted to KnightofChaoticWisdom in Whats better Noctua-dh15 or Corsair h100i v2?
The corsair 120mm mag lev fans you have there are similar to Noctua fans in a way and are better looking. The amount of cfm and pressrue they give should be good in your system. Just make sure you have airflow in your case be positive to avoid dust buildup. If you want them for airflow go ahead, but you could get af fans or sp fans for a lower price.

As a MasterAir Maker 8 owner, I can tell you that the performance is good, and by the graphs it affirms its performance over the Noctua D15, however the Master Air Maker 8 is $115 on Newegg right now, about 30 dollars more expensive than the D 15, and the Air 8 is overpriced a good chunk in price to performance ratios. So if you want to spend more money for it and its customization, go ahead but you are paying more than what you get.
