sounds like DOA usb3.1 plug.. you have one at the panel in the back that works?
i contacted lian li directly for a question about my uni infinity fans that didn't work as they should and before they confirmed even that i had bought anything they shipped 4 new fans. so customer service should be good and get you a new panel/port for your cabinet with a working usbc plug.

Because Thunderbolt requires a specific chip to be built on to the motherboard the outlook on the Asus Zephyrus G15 getting this feature later looks pretty grim. but over all I still think that the Asus Zephyrus G15 is a better laptop as long as you don't need a web cam

BrokenProgram01 got a reaction from Captain Insano in Not able to run RAM at right speed
I understand that Zen 2 can reach 3600MHz but what I was saying is that he may have gotten a weaker RAM controller so his ram may need a bit more voltage to reach the desired speeds although I wouldn't do this unless you know how much voltage DDR4 can take

edit: RAM controller not CPU controller

I would try checking the graphics card drivers and if updating fails I would do a full reinstall of the drivers using DDU to remove the drivers

I would also start with drivers.

    What temps are you running?
I would then try to clean the GPU if that does not help undervolt it.
But at this point chances are you need a new GPU

BrokenProgram01 got a reaction from Filingo in How to test effective speed differences between two RAM configurations?
Honestly the best way it to have the ram configured in that way by taking out the old ram and plugging in the system and running the types of software that you would use on a daily basis. But I think in this situations though the extra capacity will be more beneficial then the dual channel hybrid configuration

    edit: changed most to this

BrokenProgram01 reacted to WereCatf in Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB supports Ray Tracing??? (GPU-Z)
NVIDIA released CUDA-based ray-tracing for Pascal-series cards. It is NOT fast enough to use for gaming, it's really slow on Pascal, but technically it kinda-sorta works.

BrokenProgram01 reacted to exhaustedbrit in eGPU performance on Macbooks
I own two Razer Core X Chromas each with Sapphire Pulse Vega 56 cards, I use it with my MacBook Pro 15" and Mac Mini but also have an M1 MacBook Air to play with. At the moment eGPUs are not supported on the new M1 Macs, but as far as I can tell it's due to drivers.

In terms of the actual performance in macOS, that depends entirely on what you're doing, the card shouldn't perform inherently better or worse, but it's hard to compare because Apple's OpenGL implementation is dated and they'd really prefer you use Metal which is not on Windows, and similarly Windows is mostly DirectX stuff which is not on Mac. For what it's worth, World of Warcraft which supports both DirectX and Metal natively runs fantastic both in Bootcamp and macOS with the eGPU and performance is about the same. I used to use a GTX 1070 in macOS with one of my enclosures but it stopped working in the most recent macOS and Nvidia stopped updating their drivers for Mac, but when it did work, it was fine too.

Edit: Just to re-iterate though, Nvidia cards are not plug and play in macOS anymore.

Again, it really depends what you're doing. A GPU is a GPU.
