This is my first PC that I have ever built. I wanted something I could download, stream, and play movies. The main reason is so I can play DOOM because I bought it like 2 months ago and didn't have the hardware that could play it. This is what I have so far with a few parts still in the mail (Waiting on a paycheck)

INTEL DH67BL MOTHERBOARD

CORE i7-2600K CPU with stock cooler

2x4 GB G Skill DDR3 1333mhz RAM

2x4 GB Kingston HyperX Blu DDR3 1333mhz Ram

LIAN LI PC-T60B TEST BENCH Computer Case with front fan bracket

Rosewill Hive Series 850W Modular Gaming Power Supply (In Mail)

MSI Radeon RX 570 ARMOR MK2 8G OC Graphics Card (In Mail)

Silicon Power Ace A55 2.5" 1TB SATA SSD

Windows 10 Pro

I'm looking for advice or comments on my build. I have loved computers for a while but never built my own. I think it will turn out to be a decent rig once I get my graphics card. Thanks guys!

It's a nice start! Is there any particular reason you chose an open-air test bench rather than a traditional chassis?

I haven't seen fans used like that in an open air bench before.  Not sure they're helping all that much.  Curious.

As others said, PSU seems very overkill, the fan mount is realistically pretty useless overall.

I too wonder why you went for a test bench rather than a closed case.

If someone has helped you out on the forum don't forget to give them a reaction to say thank you!

The fan mount is for a radiator but put fan on it instead. No particular reason for that bench. I wanted something I could test and tinker on. It's grown on me so I plan to use it as my case. I have the front I/O coming in the mail. I am going to water cool eventually so the mount was something that I need if I wanted any hope of mounting it.
