Just plug in the 8P connector and call it a day.

Even if you had an adapter the power limiting resistor would still govern the power the card can use, plus whatever the BIOS says.

Xdrone reacted to TVwazhere in Do I need a boom arm for a shock mount to work?
A Boom arm is best if you dont want the mic to pickup keyboard and mouse noises, as it moves the mic closer to the audio source (you) which allows you to reduce the "gain".(how sensitive the mic is) The shock mount only prevents vibrations from your desk reverberating the mic itself.

CoffeeLake is a 14nm refresh of KabyLake with more cores.
CanonLake is the first gen 10nm CPU arch and so its only for mobile.

Xdrone reacted to Jurrunio in Is CPU cache different from SSD caching?
    1. Cache is like a short term quick storage for the CPU that holds information on commands that will be needed within a short time in the future. So yes, cache feeds the CPU with info, but it's not the only one doing so.

    2. CPU cache and SSD cache in SSHDs work on different components of a computer, though they do similar things: Hold the commonly used stuff for faster access. Intel Optane is more like a super fast SSD with low capacity, rather than a cache.

    3. SSHD has a small SSD inside that holds commonly used info for faster access. CPU dont send info to the HDD or SSHD directly. It creates / receives info and dumps into the RAM, then that sends info into the HDD / SSHD.

cache of a cpu hold whatever the cpu is processing at the moment.
the cache of a ssd holds data that is moved around. ssds move data around to faster parts of the ssd to keep performance higher.
sshds move the data that is most used by the user to a ssd inside the sshd so that data can be accesed faster so applications the user uses alot will work faster than others
DRAM is not the cache of an sshd, it is the data that a cpu needs to access for the current application, but is not processing at the current moment.

(I am looking at you @Cruorzy, as I thought I made myself clear that I knew about it and just didn't do it yet, and was asking if there was a way how to get it back. Thank you for your response though)

wise, choice, but remember; air filters will reduce the amount of airflow (about 50%) so your 3 and 3 idea  is more like 1.5 in and 3 out (negative pressure). to equalize, the front fans will have to be at 100% and the exhaust will have to be at 50% fan speeds. some of that untold mojo/sciencey stuff.

    I would recommend the AOC - G2460VQ6 24.0"
Its a monitor going for exactly under your budget, $149 USD, has 1ms response time and freesync as an added bonus.
Monitor has built-in speakers, and displayport compatibility.

I appreciate the solid discussions, but I have come to a conclusion after analysing all this information I have received, I will keep it balanced, and get 6 ml120 fans all of which cover the intake and outtake (3 each).
Thankyou guys for helping me reach this conclusion.

you could get something along the lines of a ryzen 1600 and have better CPU multithreading for video editing, while retaining most of your FPS in gaming

if you really are settled for intel, wait for a bit for coffee lake, it will probably have 6 core mainstream SKUs and the new CPUs won't be compatible with any existing 100 or 200 series motherboards.

edit: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/kvHzD8, did use the cheapest B350 motherboard as I don't know what you're looking for in a motherboard, B350 and X370 can overclock any ryzen chip. B350 can't SLI or CrossFire though, while X370 can.

Maglev bearing fans may not work properly at low voltages. Otherwise you'll usually get a slightly lower minimum RPM on PWM, but performance across the board will be essentially the same.

    From Thermalbench, 3.25V starting.

Xdrone reacted to W-L in Side affects of adjusting DC fan speed?
If the fan is 3 pin it can only be controlled via DC voltage control, PWM can allow for lower rpms depending on the fan providing a larger controllable range on the low side and in terms of starting the fan.

The overall directions of the fans is fine, but you should always put the same fan everywhere on the radiator. Having a mixture of fans will just cause added turbulence in the airflow and diminish your performance, and potentially be louder.
