Agreed, the my/your build overall just has better quality performance, and the clock boost you get from 6600k vs 6500 wouldn't prove that much different especially considering you won't be able to get very high OC's on that cooler on that lower end ASRock board

Atleast it looks like a "gaming" PC lol def not to bad but the i3 & 1050ti build for 500 much more powerful.

I don't think it's a bad idea.
In 1 or 2 years he will be able to sell that i3 CPU for around 70$, then buy i5 6600k or i7 6700k.
And after that it will be pretty sweet PC

It's not that solid and oh, didn't realize that. Better to get the Corsair cxm 550w. It's on sale right now. 

the cx550m is also tier 3. would get that since it is cheaper and semi modular

Get a 27" 1440p

I had 3 of those fucking cards.. they all had issues. 90c+. Shitty fucking company imo. They removed the pads to cut costs. 

EVGA is usually pretty good, but they really screwed up this gen.  I'd go for another brand if you can find a good deal.

They still make some of the best cards, your salty opinion ain't gonna change that.

They still are. But, they lost a lot of credibility. They lost a lot of sales this year. That's how evga is this year.

Agreed.  EVGA screwed up on one particular product line.  Yes it will tarnish their reputation, and I wouldn't buy that product, but I wouldn't write them off for future products.

Get the 6500 with that budget

MX Cherry blues/browns are my favorite tbh. I like that tactile feel to them. Rip off cherry switches aren't actually that bad.
