ImperialSteele reacted to ApolloX75 in Help me for the Love of god
Try doing a simple CMOS reset, that often fixes these kinds of issues and is usually the go-to first troubleshooting step.

They don't exist unfortunately.

ImperialSteele reacted to PlayStation 2 in Black border arrived with ssd
My guess is that it'd be used in laptops, where there's a little more clearance for the laptop's own spacer to go in.
If you're asking if you need it in either a desktop or a laptop, no. In a laptop, you could likely reuse the spacer the hard drive in the laptop is contained in.

ImperialSteele reacted to JaegerB in Does this look good? pc build
Can't see any glaring issues there. CPU cooler isn't the best (strikes me as odd you would choose such a cheap cooler with such a high-end build), but it should do. However, if you plan on overclocking, you'll want either a really good air cooler (along the lines of a noctua nh-d15/s) or a simple AIO (h100i, masterliquid, etc.).
You might also want some mass storage, as you'll be surprised at how fast your 250GB ssd will fill up. Just a 500GB or 1TB 7200rpm drive (WD Blue, for example) would only set you back ~40-50 bucks.
Other than that, it's a solid build. Good job.

ImperialSteele reacted to Siedge in Should I use a local windows account or a Microsoft account?????
I use a microsoft account personally, I see no disadvantages of it but the advantage of having all my stuff sync across different computers is nice (Background, calendar)

That would be a mini-molex AKA Floppy power connector.
For people that think the pic is too blurry, it's this:

ImperialSteele reacted to Donny_Chen in IT Career Certifications?
If you're new to IT, the Comptia certifications are great. The A+ isn't worth as much as it use to anymore but the linux, server, and security+ are, as well as the Microsoft ones. If you want to go hardcore, Cisco certifications look great on a resume, are fairly hard to get and cost more than a dime and a penny.

ImperialSteele reacted to DildorTheDecent in Help overclocking my CPU, GPU, and maybe RAM! PLEASE!!!!!!!
You could try ProKoN's haswell/DC guide. Parts of it may apply:
You could probably do 4.4GHz at around 1.2V
How very useful. An even more useful thing would be if you were to just log off. "Only come here for help" Guess what Einstein? That's what OP needs.

ImperialSteele reacted to Daniel644 in Help overclocking my CPU, GPU, and maybe RAM! PLEASE!!!!!!!
step one, go into the BIOS and set the XMP profile for your RAM
step 2 is overclocking the CPU, to do that we need some baseline numbers, download Aida 64 and HW Monitor, open both and run a stress test using Aida 64 and see what temps your CPU goes to and report that back we need to see what kind of temps we are at before trying to OC the CPU

ImperialSteele got a reaction from 3 Lions in Who has a Spigen case?
I normally have an Otterbox (usually commuter) case, and a Spigen for my phones, currently have Spigen on my Nexus 6P, and will continue to have one for any phone of mine in the future. Awesome, good looking cases!

ImperialSteele got a reaction from Septimus in $750 setup, any thoughts?
Personally prefer EVGA PSUs to SeaSonic, but the Tier list will provide a more definitive answer. As for the rest of it, what games are you planning on playing on it?

ImperialSteele got a reaction from MegaVoltz in $750 setup, any thoughts?
With upgrading the GPU in the future in mind, I think it's a solid build and will give you playable framerates for those titles

ImperialSteele reacted to MegaVoltz in $750 setup, any thoughts?
um... What? I wasn't asking for a better build, plus this is considering I'm buying from sketchy retailers who have overall negative ratings.
Not to mention, have you ever tried playing CS:GO with random crappy cheap peripherals? It's not a very fun experience.
Also, why didn't you say anything? You literally just posted an inferior crappy part list with no other information. I have reviewed the parts in my list EXTENSIVELY, and all of them have solid reviews and features I really care about.
Please leave some insight next time.
