I could replace the EVGA 450 B3 with a SeaSonic S12II 620 80+ Bronze power supply for $10 more. Is it worth it?

I appreciate all feedback and comments, guys! This is my first PC build so feel free to leave all thoughts down below! :)

do keep in mind that these are the cheapest prices from several different places,so you'll have warranties from different manufacturers and shippers.

Personally prefer EVGA PSUs to SeaSonic, but the Tier list will provide a more definitive answer. As for the rest of it, what games are you planning on playing on it?

I'm going to be playing PUBG, Minecraft, Astroneer, CS:GO, Star Wars: Battlefront, LoL, and a whole bunch of other games I haven't thought of yet. Just to give you some idea.

My main goal with this was to keep it under $800, while still being very futureproof and easy to upgrade, as evident by the GPU bottleneck in this case.

Yeah, I've bought from all these retailers in the past, all have been very reliable and hassle-free. I doubt I'll have any trouble with them.

I'm thinking of upgrading to a 1070 or perhaps 2060/2060ti if I feel like waiting that long.

um... What? I wasn't asking for a better build, plus this is considering I'm buying from sketchy retailers who have overall negative ratings.

Not to mention, have you ever tried playing CS:GO with random crappy cheap peripherals? It's not a very fun experience.

Also, why didn't you say anything? You literally just posted an inferior crappy part list with no other information. I have reviewed the parts in my list EXTENSIVELY, and all of them have solid reviews and features I really care about.

Please leave some insight next time.

Why does nobody ever filter out bad retailers on PCPartPicker?

Also, I'd be better off buying a used 970 or 3gb 1060 over the 6gb 1060. The price to performance is horrible...

I'll filter out bad retailers, but it'll cost more money. I would've deleted my post but I can't after I read what you thought about the other list :/

Is this a troll comment? The current-gen Core i5s are NOT at ALL futureproof, they stutter in quite a few newer games, and are maxed out at 100%, leaving no room for background processes, programs, or headroom in general in the future.

Who would recommend a 4-core 4-thread processor in 2017 when you can pick up a more futureproof, cheaper 6 core, 12 thread?

Haha how is that a better option?

Also, things having high ratings is dependant on how good the product is in a certain price bracket. You certainly pay less, but you get less for your money.

Also, my router only supports up to 802.11N speeds anyway, so the extra wifi power is wasted, since I rarely go to LAN parties or take my desktop anywhere.

Go to AdoredTV's YouTube channel and see his videos. The Core i5 is inherently garbage for what it offers at that price point. There is simply no reason to buy a Core i5 in 2017.

Call me an AMD fanboy all you like. I stick by my (true) claim that Ryzen offers FAR more value for the money.

No I totally get it. Ryzen CPU's are a great budget chips. I have a personal attachment I guess to the I5 it never let me down in the past, however I agree Its not future proof.

This is taken directly from the 450 B3 review, and I quote:

"The 450 B3 demonstrates excellent performance for the standards of this price range, a fairly long hold-up time, and quiet operation. Modular cabling, a user-selectable semi-passive mode, and a five-year warranty are icing on the cake. Most important is EVGA's impressive performance-per-dollar ratio. The company used to sell hardware at cost to batter its competition, and it appears to be using a similar tactic with the B3 family. After all, it's hard to offer all of the 450 B3's functionality for just $50."

Yeah, the i5 2500K was great too. Never let me down. However Intel is a very shady and despicable company. Watch this video to learn more:

This in part is the reason I would not recommend anyone go out and buy an i5 in 2017, and why I am choosing Ryzen over Intel as a solid option.
