Ok, I read around. For anyone reading this in the future
It is supposed to be a bit thicker than most pastes.
It's a high performer but it's main purpose is resistance to cracking in sub ambient conditions.

    Toms hardware testing
Gamingscan ?? talking about it being very thick

Kingping cooling replied to my support email within a few hours, told me he would send out a new tube and mine likely had an air leak.

I have the same problem, but I'm also looking for a mouse that doesn't look gamer-y. At work I have a Mionix Naos 7000, which is nearly what I'm looking for, but my ideal mouse would be a tiny bit larger. But it might be what you're looking for. Sadly the quality is not perfect, especially for it's price. I already had to replace the scroll-wheel switch, and now the optical sensor sometimes gets "stuck".

More or less yes. Some RTX cards use the same die and card, but cut-down.

    More or less.

I suggest sorting by lowest price, and then going up untill you find a card that fits. Then checking the tier.

Keep in mind it will never be among the best cards

Don't even think for 3 fan GPU, all others with 2 fans should fit.
I would go for Asus and MSI

Can you describe your equipment layout?

I just set up a pfsense box over the last few days and it sounds like you're over-complicating it.

Example, my setup is:  fiber interface box -> pfsense box -> managed switch (1 port going to the old wifi router as an AP/switch for my main network, another port going to a separate wifi router as an AP for a guest wifi network).

by default, the computers see the pfsense box as their gateway, you shouldn't have to manually set a gateway. In the pfsense web UI, it's own gateway is auto-detected as the fiber interface box on the WAN side.

I think what you're misunderstanding is that I'm not leading anyone to anything.

Scroll through many threads on these forums of people asking about setting up an SLI graphics card configuration, which motherboard they should pair with 'x' CPU, etc and it becomes obvious that so many forum users are just pushing their own strongly-passionate opinions such as the innacurate "SLI is dead", or  "the best motherboard for a 9900k is to sell it and go Ryzen".

What you've missed is that when someone is asking about setting up SLI because they've already decided they want to do it - answering their questions directly is not even remotely the same thing as "deceiving them into thinking SLI is worth their money". You are not them, your values are not their values, and if they're asking "how do I", that isn't a plea for your personal opinion on the validity of what they're choosing to spend their time and money on.

I fully support people making choices based on whatever their individual priorities are, and respect that what I value most is not what most people who like to play PC games value, but let's try to have some more respect for each other and not be constantly on the lookout to push inaccurate opinions any time someone asks a "how to" or "which item among a select few should I choose" types of questions.

Kalm_Traveler got a reaction from Rackooo in Is the 2080ti worth it?
Honestly if you're happy with 60fps at 1440p, I wouldn't even think about a 2080 Ti. My HTPC with a 1070 can handle most games well enough to maintain 60fps at max graphical settings on a 1440p screen. Heck, it's able to play quite a few games at 4k without dipping much below 60 fps if settings are dropped to medium.

try connecting the device to a powered USB hub, which then connects to your PC and see if the issue goes away. That would be one way to determine if power delivery is the issue.

your motherboard manual says it has a  Realtek® ALC888S for onboard audio, so you would just need to grab a Realtek driver for that chip. It's not part of the nforce chipset. manual here: http://xfxstorage.com/Support/Manuals/Nforce7/750i Manual.pdf

This page might have a compatible driver: https://www.realtek.com/en/component/zoo/category/pc-audio-codecs-high-definition-audio-codecs-software

One question I am surprised has not come up (I didn't ask it either). Are you using VPN with a tunnel provider for all your internet traffic, or are you setting up a VPN service so you can access your own network remotely? If the 2nd, then don't worry about sizing the router for VPN needs. There is a HUGE different between the VPN needs of a business and a home. For a small businesses you might expect a dozen or more users connected at a time transferring meaningful amounts of data while local users are also hitting the router, or you might have a situation where all local traffic is being sent to another site over a VPN tunnel. Both of those scenarios puts a meaningful load on the CPU. If you just have VPN for the very occasional remote connection into your own stuff, then don't bother adding extra CPU for that purpose. A single user isn't going to create much of a load and I highly doubt you will be pushing gigabit levels of traffic across VPN

If you are doing all traffic over VPN, then yes, that will requite more CPU.

Kalm_Traveler reacted to sphbecker in pfSense - router + stateful firewall + vpn HW requirements?
The router will not use much power, but you want it to be as responsive as possible, so I suggest a 4 core CPU if possible (2 cores is probably fine, but there could be situations were CPU queue time adds a millisecond or two to your latency). Clock speed doesn't really matter, any 4 core CPU is fine.

4 GB of RAM is all you need unless you plan to use plug-ins, if you do, refer to their documentation for additional RAM needs.

You don't need to think about 10 gig routing. Even if you install a 10 gig switch, the router only only touches packets to/from the internet, and you don't have a 10 gig internet connection ?

I have suricata running and while maxing out the 150 mbits/sev dl speed internet i have the router uses about 20% cpu(2200G)....  Also with IDS/IPS you also need more RAM.

From what I can gather you are literally the only person to EVER say that, there are endless discussions on the Netgate forum about how much is enough for Gigabit.

Did you miss the bit on their product page that clearly says, and this is WITHOUT A VPN:

Now granted I think they are assuming an increase in number of clients proportional to the speed, and server-class hardware is definitely NOT required (especially as top-end Ryzen is giving it a run for its money now) but the CPU requirements are very real.

I see my i5 7200U hit 50% usage on the core OpenVPN is running on when only pulling 50Mbit when running at around 800Mhz.  I can't imagine it hitting Gigabit at full speed.

Using Suricata and/or Snort makes requirements even higher.

If you must use the optical cable, Soundblaster Z indeed still support Dolby Digital Live encoding (as well as the slightly superior DTS Connect encoding).

I was using one in my home theater for the last few years, works great. Down to a 2 speaker config now as I'm in early stages of preparing to move.

Cat5e can do 10gig up to 30m or so but 10gig routing is a whole other ball game and will be shelling out $1k+for a router that can router 10gig and forget VPNs at 10gig.

I would stick with Netgate as you will also have support and warranty.

If the connector gets hot at all (let alone hot enough to melt the cover), the rest of the card will have already been on fire for a long time.
