Not a huge difference but if you can afford the 3600MHz CL18 kit then why not

I'm gonna be completely objective here:

    AMD Pros:
You are going for a x570 chipset, it has PCIE 4.0. RX 5700 and 5700xt versions work slightly (super slightly) better than 3.0. Supposedly over time they should work even better You get a better product for the price AMD Cons:
At the current date, a lot of people have driver issues with their cards. A lot have not. Depends on your luck NVIDIA Pros:
Stuff works out of the box  NVIDIA Cons:
The reality is that RTX games can be counted with the fingers of your hands. Properly optimized ones are even less. RTX is not a standard today, and it won't be for the next year at least. So the promised technology is just meh. They are quite more expensive You should balance this before choosing. Besides that, in the Gigabyte vs Zotac game, go Gigabyte. Windforce cards work really nice as said above

the 2070. it's not only better in general over the 2060 super, but also the gigabyte windforce version is better than the zotac mini, as long as it fits in your case

The RTX 2070, have more RT OPS and better performance.
I don’t recommend buying AMD Graphic card because not all games take advantage of it

Just remember that none of us are liable if anything gets screwed up, this is all on you. And any kind of build-up anywhere in the system would be really hard to clean up.

I highly recommend against adding anything at all to a loop. Any undissolvable additives will ruin a normal loop.

Not really its more radiator surface area compared to your old one and it comes with a 2 year warranty so theirs that so if you got it for a decent price then it should be a fine upgrade.  That being said it wouldn't have been my first choice of coolers or second , third, forth it might make the top 10 maybe. Coolermaster makes great Air coolers there AIO's though meh.  But according to toms hardware the 360 version of the Master liquid was the best AIO of 2019 for what its worth.  If it was me I would have gotten something form Corsair or NZXT but probly paied more and got the same outcome. And at the end of the day as long as you happy that is all that matters.  https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/best-cpu-coolers,4181-2.html

Well, I for a fact know it would. It's all about IOPS and latency, something HDD's suck at. And any SSD has high IOPS number and low latency for reads. Writes are almost always sequential anyway (the way things are batched before writing in the write buffer) so direct writes to HDD aren't even the issue, it's the fast reads we need the most which are often scattered all over the platters and contribute to slow reading speeds when read head is jumping back and forth gathering the bits of data. The fact it's not built into HDD really makes no difference because of the IOPS and latency benefits you're instantly getting from the included SSD for cache, bandwidth constraints of SATA3 really makes very little difference. And best part of it, it's an easy upgrade so it's even more baffling why more people aren't doing it. You literally just slam the SSD into the computer, install PrimoCache, pair the SSD to the existing HDD and you're done. No need to reinstall OS or shuffle data around by hand. The rest is done fully automatically by the PrimoCache caching algorithms. It's really a 10 minute process that gives massive performance boost for like 60-70 bucks in total cost for any existing system.

I've checked for the lolz and both, WD and Seagate have 8TB HDD's. When paired with SSD cache you could even get away with regular 5400 RPM versions. But lets say we want to really go hardcore with 7200 RPM one. Seagate Barracuda Pro 8TB 7200 RPM goes for around 260€. PrimoCache is 30€ lifetime license, Samsung SM951 256GB NVMe M.2 SSD is 85€. Total of 375€ for mind blowing capacity of 8TB at even more mindblowing speeds for everything in those 8TB as they get cached to blazing fast 256GB NVMe SSD. You can just dream of 8TB SSD for under 400€. There are some limitations like HDD noise which will still happen and slower first time launches, but everything that you use regularly, it'll be boosted to insane speeds. And by "regularly" it even applies to playing a game. If you just start a game once and play it from start to finish in one go it'll load things faster because many resources are shared and will get cached as you'll play the game, resulting in instant better performance even after just one level without the need to fire up the game several times. And for games you'll play daily, like multiplayer games, it'll feel like you're using SSD only. Even HDD noise will basically go away over time for such stuff as it'll just read it from SSD cache without ever touching HDD again. It's really incredible thing that I can guarantee you'll not regret it.

Indeed. They're only changing how the stream is delivered, but they're basing their claims on the assumption that pirates share the original file online; that's just bullshit, pirates record the stream, they don't share the original file, so none of this bullshit is going to do jack shit about piracy.

O_Bedstew reacted to Dissitesuxba11s in Blockchain: Pirate Killer ?
From my understanding upon reading the article, it's a video file that is stored in the blockchain and through this new software it only permits legitimate users that paid for the movie to view it. In other words, it sounds exactly like a how your typical streaming service works.

Still won't kill pirating. As long as you can buy or download offline copies (DVD, Blu-ray), someone is going to put it online to share.

For the consumer market, I think it's a case of too little too late.

Solid State/gb prices have plummeted since they became "mainstream", mass storage via SSD is becoming more affordable on an almost-daily basis. Given the significant speed advantage and operational reliabilty that they bring, I see mechanical drives going the way of the dodo, or the VCR if you'd like to up-date by a year or two. It's a matter of when it will happen. I still retain one mechanical drive in my current system (which brings to light that my signature is outdated), but that's largely because it's still functioning, and i haven't found a need to add additional space in my system yet. Until then though, faster read/writes are definitely a positive.

Western Digital has revealed this week that it will demonstrate its first dual-actuator hard drives at OCP San Jose, 14-15 March 2019. Marking the company's first foray into multi-actuator drives, WD markets roughly twice the performance of a
single-actuator. Although they'll be trading off some power efficiency in the process.

I personally think this is a bit of a move to come back one more time with hdd's, but it doesn't make sense to me. these days hard drives are just for long-lasting, big drives. as far as I know there aren't many people that care about their hard drive speed, except that it's at least 7200 rpm and has a small cache

but you're allowed to change my opinion

I doubt they'd fall in the near future. They have the backing of the Chinese Communist Party and 1.3 billion people's wealth. Even with all the western countries banning them, they'd still have African and Asian market, which is huge.
Huawei, along with Xiaomi and numerous other Chinese electronics companies, are being accused of stealing IP from Apple, Samsung and other tech companies. Whether or not these accusations are accurate is up to debate.

As you can probably tell, I have a lot of disdain towards the above images.

O_Bedstew reacted to Cyracus in Why don't GPU makes make their own graphic cards?
If Nvidia or AMD decided to only produce cards themselves it could lead to monopoly issues, since most places don't allow those. It's simpler for Nvidia and AMD to put a little bit of R&D into producing a cooler for a series and sell the majority for a tidy profit, also offloading all further R&D work onto those third party manufacturers. Basically it's a mutually beneficial situation, Nvidia and AMD get easier money, 3rd party manufacturers take a hearty share of the work. Some cards, like Nvidia's Titan series don't get custom cooler support, but do get aftermarket manufacturing, with Nvidia designing the cooler and outsourcing the production to the third parties, thus eating the R&D to offload the manufacturing
