Nmistry09 got a reaction from BingoFishy in Corsair's website is F*cked
How fast is your internet? If it's too slow, it'll just show you the html of the page, which won't help you out. I think it's on your end, personally.

Nmistry09 got a reaction from dizmo in $800 Workstation Build
1. He said he didn't want to use "other methods". (to get the OS). You're basically supporting scammers.
2. You have to pay extra for the cooler, and instead of doing that, why don't you get a better one? Rendering videos will run your system hot if you don't think about the parts correctly.

50 Dollars over, but I got everything on your list. Person above didn't put a Mouse, Keyboard, or Power Supply.
4 cores, multithreading, 16 Gigs of RAM, 1 TB HDD, 120 GB SSD.
The 1050ti should get him good frames in video games and be able to render video files relatively fast.
If you want to spend extra, give him a 1060 6GB.

well I have to deal with a mobo RMA so I wouldn't trust any of them right now

Definitely not @LinusTech, he'll just drop it.
I'd trust @BRollTheInternwith it, if Linus can trust him with tens of thousands of dollars worth of camera equipment, I'm sure I'd be able to trust him with a roughly $1,000 PC.

Change the two hard drives to WD Blacks, 5400 RPM is very slow, you only want hard drives that are 7200 RPM.

Yeah, it should be good. I am actually on my first PC too, which coincidentally also has a 1070. I usually hit 80-90 fps on AAA titles.

Nmistry09 got a reaction from Nikko62 in Noob Productivity Build Plan (REVISION 1.0) - Need Opinion
Good build, but definitely could use some improvements. If you are looking at 2,000 CAD, definitely don't go below 80+ gold efficiency in the PSU. Also, just to clarify, there won't only be a 256GB M.2, but also a 2TB WD Black drive? Your PCPartPicker list is conflicting with what you said earlier.

I fixed it!
I had to go through their forums and turns out there was a driver you needed to install.
Thanks,

1. Make sure you have a big table for building the computer.
2. Go to pcpartpicker.com to make sure all of your parts are compatible.
3. Make sure you bought an expensive and good power supply because if you bought a cheap one, it could fry your gpu, cpu, etc.
4. Take your time and read all the manuals for everything. (Case, motherboard, etc.)
5. I can't think of anything else
