Complete speakers setup under $600?

iShad

Since I use speakers more often than headphones/iems it's time to upgrade from cheapo walmart speakers. Looking for a full setup with amp if not powered, but no dac needed as I'll just use the hp-a8. Currently reading about Vanatoo Transparent One and ELAC Uni-fi UB5, but just checking if there's more options. Also very interested in the Kef LS50, but it's a bit out of my price range for now. If it's worth it I can sell some audio gears to get it, otherwise my budget stays the same.

Edit: Also willing to buy used.

Vanatoo unless you can find great used deals on the list (craigs that is).

See here, but you seem to know your stuff:

Do you have any gaming consoles that you use in your setup? (PS4, for example?)

Not really interested in those as what I already have is already better. Looking for stereo monitor setup mostly.

Then the vanatoo are the best option, again, unless there is something great used.

Yeah, it's between that or the ELAC Uni-fi UB5 right now. Any experience with the UB5?

They seem promising, but possibly with some teething problems.

Was reading that and the only problem seems to be the green tint on the midrange woofer when it was released. I guess I'll be fine with either speakers and just get whichever I can find a better deal.
