Murdoch got a reaction from Apogee777 in Xonar Essence STX vs. Xonar Essence STX II (What's the difference?)
The really question?
In fairness, the STX has a pretty decent headphone amp built in, ya know for high impedance headphones. Say what you like about the DAC, but you'll have difficulty driving 300+ ohm headphones directly from onboard.

My decision to buy the OnePlus 3T black edition, and not hold out for the 5 is looking better and better by the day.

Murdoch got a reaction from SpaceGhostC2C in Microsoft shares what it collectes in Windows 10 Telemetry data
This is the go to argument for defending Microsoft. I get it, it seems a bit pointless to split hairs over what Microsoft is tracking, when you may well use an Android phone.
But, it sidesteps the actual issue. Microsoft have changed business models, they've gone down the route of trying to copy Google, and they've treated their consumers with a certain level of arrogance. The very first example of this, is trying to create a local account on your first install of Windows 10. For any competent user, it's a real smack in the face when they treat people like idiots. If you attempt to take away control of your OS and how it's used from your technically proficient users, you will alienate them, and they will push back, or move to an OS that better suits their needs.

This comment is ignorant on so many levels.
Kodi / XBMC is opensource non-profit MediaCentre software, it's no more responsible for piracy than VLC, iTunes or even Windows. the OP isn't looking for "love", he posted something deemed news worthy, nowhere did his post condone piracy. you lack the understanding to talk on behalf of the community, and indeed you seem to lack the capability to gauge the community's opinion on any given topic. April fools day requires more skepticism than usual, you need to verify things beyond just looking at face value. -
Murdoch got a reaction from SpaceGhostC2C in HTC is introducing ads inside Vive and will track when you’re looking, And everyone was scared of Facebook
How "underage" do you need to be, to consider advertising the only source of revenue. I remember back in my day, people just used to pay money directly for a product / service.
On a different note, HTC seem desperate, they tried something similar on their phones. Integrating adverts straight into HTC sense home, which I'm assuming was an utter failure at generating revenue, and a huge PR blunder. It certainly played a part in my decision to opt for a Oneplus 3 over the HTC 10.

Another key point is that they are separate verification services because advertisers didn't trust Websites to not spoof views. Which gives rise to a big difference between web browsing and HTC Vive, the separate service being used for verification makes it incredibly easy to block adverts while web browsing, I can just block all traffic to "googleadservices.com" for example. Whereas having the verification baked deeply into your Virtual Headset's hardware / software, makes it extremely difficult to block.

Murdoch reacted to Prysin in UPDATED G2A has flaw in their system pointed out to them, promptly "bans" user after issue is pointed out.
Why are you apologizing for staying within the topic? When laws and politics are able to affect something that is being discussed, then healthy discussion of the policies and laws are also on the table.
If someone thinks otherwise, and vocally expresses such opinions, they are simply trying to censor you through silencing you

Murdoch reacted to Drak3 in Apple making a vape?
Y'all expecting an eCig from Apple, I'm expecting a potentially expensive Vics "competitor."
Pound salt. When it comes to smoking the tar and toilet cleaner filled cigars and cigarettes sold massively throughout the US and China, vaping is the far more favorable alternative.

Murdoch got a reaction from stconquest in Would you support eugenics?
Who decides what members of society are unproductive, and what happens once the unproductive members have been eliminated, and you're in the "least productive camp". I'd suspect you'd be the next in line. Morality aside, there's no way to implement what you speak of, without it turning into an absolute shit show.
Eugenics wasn't all Nazis, Churchill famously had a eugenics programme, people were sterilized in the UK too. The Nazis killed the idea stone cold dead, because they took it to its natural conclusion.

Murdoch reacted to SuperShires in Apple making a vape?
Why is it disgusting? clearly you've never tried it. I give it credit for making it much easier to quit smoking all together; I was smoking for 7 years prior then switched to an e-cigarette, 6 months later I managed to quit for good, that was 2 years ago and I haven't touched a cigarette since. So don't slate something that you don't seem to know much about.

Murdoch got a reaction from KuJoe in Should you GPS TRACK your Children?
I don't have kids personally, but I'm actively involved in looking after / educating my niece & nephew, especially when it comes to internet etc. Kids are given access to internet connected devices so early in their development nowadays, and while it's completely natural for them to facetime friends, use instant messaging, essentially be connected. Many parents are pretty clueless about setting safe parameters within which the kids can use these devices. I am very much an advocate of supervising use of such devices (and indeed I'd say "snooping" is fine at a younger age), until you've taught them how to be aware of potential pitfalls. By mid teens, you should have raised your kid well enough to know how to navigate this safely, freedom is important to development too.
With that said, back on the GPS topic, I live in a low crime, very safe area that still has quite a close knit community. So for me, GPS tracking seems superfluous. That might not be the case in a different situation.

Murdoch reacted to vanished in STEAM now allows you to move the game from a STEAM library folder to another
Not like this. You used to have to move the game files to a temp folder, then "delete local files" within Steam, then move them from the temp location to the new steam library, then reinstall the game which would discover the local files. Now you just click "move".

Murdoch got a reaction from Tieox in Linus's Disturbing Trend to Clickbait
This isn't an emotive issue for me personally.
But I will say, I've been watching fewer LTT videos lately, simply because I haven't been noticing them in my YouTube subscription feed.
Going for the generic YouTube attention grabbing thumbnails, probably will get you more random clicks from the people who use YouTube that way. I'd question if it's a trade off worth making, if it alienates the usual fanbase though.
