Festive got a reaction from McHox in which GPU to reach 144fps in csgo
Wow. Since certain people on this post like to portray they have some sort of knowledge on something they obviously don't, I'll add another bit.

Csgo is a very CPU bound title, meaning in almost all cases, the better your CPU, the better your FPS. This doesnt mean you can have a GT 730 and an i5 6600 and still get that constant 144fps but it does mean that you can go lighter on the GPU with a 1050ti and beef up the CPU to something like an i5-6500 and still get very good FPS.

To the comment ablut CS not being for casuals, you're probably Nova. ggwp

Instability maybe? Try using 4.6 and see if the same thing happens.

I think the wraith cooler will do a better job than potentially frying the chip with fucking zip ties: leave that for scrapyard wars, season 3 is coming soon after all.

Come out during the psych session. At least you'll have a trained professional to back you up and offer emotional support during the climax or eruption of emotions at that point.

I'm sure most games "benefit" from higher framerates but a games such as Witcher doesn't really benefit much. Coming from someone who has played that game on low-medium-high-ultra at 1080p and DSR 4K on both a 960 and a 1080. More FPS is nice but for a game that slow paced and open world with that much visual beauty, I (and 99% others) would much rather 80 FPS on ultra rather than 144fps on low or whatever it takes to push those frames on that game.

Get whatever is cheaper, in your current spot I would go with the 480 considering ME games seem to favor AMD hardware and new games seem to be running 3-5 FPS faster on Polaris due to driver optimization.

Why on earth would you have an overclocked 7700k system at work. Chances are, if you're in a work setting where 32gb of RAM is necessary, you are doing some form of editing which means you would most likely have a xeon. So uh, yeah I think this thread is a pure troll.

Clock speed does a lot when it comes to editing, rendering, or doing CAD.
