So I just got my Ryzen 1700 today and I've noticed significant drop in FPS when in combat in Overwatch. Outside of combat I'm getting average 120 fps on medium settings 1080p then when I hit an area of combat it just bottoms out into the low 40's. I have it set at 3.7 Ghz on all cores, ram set at 2999 Mhz, and I'm using an R9 Fury (non x). I know it's a new chip but after watching reviewers showing off their chips in their tests I did not notice them having drops. Thanks!

Did you check your GPU and CPU usage, before bashing on non-optimized (for gaming) Ryzen CPU's? What are the temps doing during thise high combat scenes?

None of the temp programs I've installed actually display temps yet lol. And no I haven't checked usage yet. I might give that a go when I wake up tomorrow.

He asked a question, he wasnt 'bashing' anything.

OP, maybe try reinstalling drivers or your OS, another thing may be temps.

120fps sounds really abnormal out of combat. I have an FX6300 + GTX 660 and I rarely drop below 70fps in and outside of combat on medium.

Personal build >  New-ish AMD main gaming setup

PLEASE QUOTE OR @ ME FOR A RESPONSE xD
